I'm still trying to figure out how to get the pics to look good.
It pisses me off how Apple advertise it with super zooming, but then the photos I transfer are so crap when converted.

PLENTY!!! Found a (Mac) app called MobileSyncBrowser that will open the SMS, call log and Notes backups made when synching the iPhone and let you export SMS into a text format, so will use that keep a record of messages now.

Oh good god i love this thing, apart from the fact i can't seem to transfer my contacts. Is there any way to add them from sim because i can't seem to see them on the phone or bluetooth them even though i've paired it with my iMac. Also wondered if there was a way to turn the pairing off?

I haven't experienced any bad photo quality at all, my photo's just sync straight to the phone from iPhoto, and in brilliant quality.

Can't you just sync your contacts from Address Book. That's what I did. No need to bluetooth them??

i found the answer. Any photo above 800kb is compressed and itunes compression is crap. I hope they fix this. This is a standard feature.

Yeah that's what i did in the end just thought it may have been able to read from sim but it can't, no problemo.
One more thing i presume the only way to customise ringtones is to download that iFun application to jailbreak it?

I must say that i am very impressed with iphone so far. The typing still requires some training.. Screen, video playback, speed, .. are awesome. I dont regret getting iphone one bit. It is the coolest

Yeah the typing takes practice but i've found even if you get it wrong it automatically knows what your trying to do which ain't a problem, it's mad how they don't include a manual but you really don't need one.

I'm amazed that the limitations of Bluetooth on the iPhone that has been highlighted and discussed all over the place you were unaware that is one of the things it can't do and why people complained as soon as it was known. I don't know if any of the hacks and customization apps around have got round this or not but on a bog standard iPhone this can not be done.

to be honest I'm not to bothered if it can't be done although it does seem rather odd not to have it. Even if I'd bothered to research it beforehand I still would have bought one. Thanks for the reply.
