Cheers Intelegent115 - anybody any ideas about the wifi problem?? Although the phone can see the wifi, when it asks me for the router password it says its invalid (and yes I have typed it in correctly).....?

Not brand new. Although Paul Ford I think has one brand new unused so I would contact him. I was originally supposed to buy it but went for a 3g one instead.

you shouldnt experience any problems using a pwned device with itunes 8. Think the only issue is restoring a pwned (custom) firmware to an non-pwned device.

I am thinking of getting a 16gb but would kick myself if, a few weeks later, a 32gb one was released.
With new phones being released, is the iPhone still worth it? I don't use mms, and have a good camera.

BB Storm, and HTC Touch HD coming, but I see no WiFi for Storm and display of mutiple appointments not possible, ( maybe) on Touch HD. Early comments on XDA seem to be Touch HD is a Dimond with a bigger screen,t hat's all....

well, I'll get the HD but I really doubt it will fulfill my needs as an entertainer better than the iphone though it will probably come closer than any other WM, including X1, has so far given the screen size
diamond was excellent, the best WM I had before X1 and X1 only just gets ahead for me. so if HD really is diamond with bigger screen then great! thats what it needed

Hey guys, just got an iphone 3g, unlocked via turbosim so using my Orange contract sim in it which is fine for calls/texts but refuses to go on the internet, it just comes up with...
"safari cant open this page because it's not connected to the internet"
now i've put various settings in but all come up the same, i'm getting a 3G signal and WI-FI browsing works fine but not 3G internet... any help?
And any recomendations for a case which will add minimal bulk but will keep it pristine?

Guys for XSellize repo, I'd suggest you register on XSellize so you can get 2nd Level Repo with more stuff.
So when you register with your username and password, you'll put the new repo as http://xsellize.com/cydia/username-password .
For some reason some of my apps have gone missing, better re-download them. I'm on my 9th page, w00t!
EDIT: And why on earth I had never posted in this thread before, xD. I think we should have one iPhone thread for central discussion. And I also noticed the TTR mod, thanks for that, any other mods for games guys?

There's a few of us on here that have Incase sliders and ones that are similar, and i dont think you can go far wrong with a case like that... adds little bulk and gives very good overall protection. Sorry i cant help on the network problem you're having
@Naz iPhone battery overall is pretty good, i was finding it a problem a couple of weeks back (for some reason) but seems ok now. I'm running a jailbroken handset so batt. usage will always be higher, but i 'can' manage 1 1/2 days between charges with medium usage. I always charge it overnight though so it's not to much of an issue.

Sorted my network issue, dont know what was wrong, all of a sudden i got a constant 3G signal and the net started working :s
Apart from the sources up at the top anymore must have one's to add to cydia? And i had Tap Tap Revolution on my old 1st gen which was awesome, you could use your own songs skin it with Guitar Hero theme too, but where'd i get it now? The one from the app store is pants!!!

Yeah the Incase is really nice, and the black Matte one i've got has a really nice feel to it.
Not so sure on TTR, it's changed a lot since the pre-2.0 firmware... i remember the old one and it was good with the GH3 mod. I downloaded something similar off Cydia the other day called Rock Band, only had a quick play with it but it's the same sort of concept.
For extra repos, go and have a look at this post which has all the repos avaible listed.
Definitely worth registering on xsellize for the member repo...a couple of nice extra things

iPhone 3g software unlock coming New Years Eve!
The iPhone dev team have apparently cracked it at last and unlocked the 3g. Good news for many people i think! This is only going to be possible for those running baseband version 02.11.07 (and before i would guess) So those that updated officially to 2.2 are not going to be able to benefit from this (however, like you, i dont care as i have no need for the unlock)

lol found it via macthemes2.net in the iPhone screenshot thread, someone else asked for it and it was posted so i nicked it.
Will upload it for you later if you want me to. It has a blue fill as well, but i just prefer the default green (while in an app) and white (on the springboard)
Also have a similar 3D type lockscreen/charging battery that matches if you want that as well?

I'll leave the blue masks in the folder, but just renamed with a '1' or something at the end so winterboard doesnt pick it up. If you ever want to you use them just delete the 1. You know the score anyway with this stuff lol
