If you are using a Mac, why don't you just import the picture into iPhoto? The iPhone is made for the iLife software, I can't understand all these people with Mac's asking how to get photo's, contacts and appointments etc. Have you never looked at the software on your Mac? Don't mean to sound funny but there's so many Mac users asking the same questions!

I've always wanted to go with o2 but with them not allowing mobile web on payg...I've always stuck with orange.

Yeah i know i can use iphoto and i do but want i'm saying is sometimes it would be easier to you the BT function just to beam one photo quickly, but that isn't an option so i've done the other.

ahh ok thanks...I didn't realise mobile web was possible on PAYG..I only thought it was available with a contract sim.
I remember trying ages ago and it wouldnt work no matter what i tried....that was with a HTC trinity ...through pocket IE.

@intelligent, if your phone is unlocked iBrickr will work straight away, no patching since it's already patched.

Ok, my iphone is almost complete now. I have all i wanted, just some "little" things need to be done. I would like my albums to display covers in flowmode. iTunes requires an account. I doubt all of you have an itunes store account, now do you?

YOu get the album covers via itunes, it does not cost you anything. All it does it get the album art for albums it recognises.

Or you can use this widget, which i find quite handy, just highlight the songs you need the artwork for in itunes search for it in the widget and apply. They usually have most of what i need.

Just sign up for an account, it doesn't cost you anything. It takes about 2 minutes to do, the cover images downloaded through iTunes are crystal clear quality, unlike amazon etc.

Weasel.... do you use mac or windows pc?
If you plug your iPhone or even an ipod to your computer and there is an update for it... it will ask you if you want to update... you can just cancel... i think there was a setting on the pop up to ignore future reminders for that particular update...

I use a mac... and it syncs contact and calenders through that... not sure on the pc sorry mate... the screen piddles over my P1i in the sunlight.... whatever the construction they have done.. is fantastic... camera is poopy though
swings and roundabouts... still trying to get hold of the o2 settings for payandgo for internet access for it.... seems alittle elusive...

The thing is that my country is not in the list (when creating a new account) so i get stuck @ address or credit card info...
I found an alternative but i am only able to save 5 covers. It`s called TuneSleeve. You select albums and covers (can also add your own) and then it communicates with iTunes.
If anyone finds anything else please share it.

You are quite right Dragoneye... Nokia have already showed their hand on the Nokia iphonish concept haven't they?
iPhone seems very polished... but Apple have held back on alot more... having owed an N95 and then back to SE with the P1i... there are some things that are alot better on these phones although... the Apple ooozes quality from the interface to the casing.... both the N95 and the P1i (which I will still use for work) have housing issues such as flexing and creaking alittle... iPhone is alot faster moving through the menus than the P1i....

Can it import .csv files? This is the most basic form af data, as it's plain text. I believe, thinking back to dim and distant past, that OE can export to .csv. Stands for "Comma Sepparated Values" btw. It's a VERY clunky workaround, but it may get you by 'till someone cleverer than me comes along - so it shouldn't be long

Not being an itunes user, I've no idea, but I seem to remember that you can export your OE contacts under something like File->Export->Address Book.....then choose csv as your export format, and put it somewhere you can find it such as your desktop.
With Itunes though, I'd start with file - open, or its equivalent and see what it does....or try its help pages to see how to import contact data in plain text.

Imported my contacts from outlook express to yahoo, then changed itunes to sync with yahoo....phew!
