Wow! Deffo my new favourite car!

This is a real car. Currently at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Only 20 to be made costing €1,000,000 each!

The styling kind of reminds me of fighter jets. What do you guys all think?

That looks awful.

Posted by Cycovision
Sorry, but it reminds me of one of the spaceships out of the classic 1984 game 'Elite'.

I'll stick with TVR (in my dreams)

Posted by Danny_BFC

I rec Jeremy Clarkson bought 1 he seemed to like the last one that looked similar to this

Nice car way outta our leageues though aye

Nice ride! All I want to know is how on earth do you squeeze into it? It's so super streamlined that the roof is almost non-existent, AMAZING!!

Posted by Daedalus85
Now this is a real sports car:

Given it's designed by the guys at Ferrari, has a 20V 2.0litre engine and only costs around £4000 for a good ish one, I'd say it's far better

JC isn't that rich yet. He had a Ford GT and switched it for a gallardo. And now he wishes he could return it and get an R8. This fighter jet is out of his league.

It looks great IMO and it will be great to drive!

Oh that is terrible! 3 things I can't tolerate in a car:

- Automatic transmission
- Front-drive
- Four cylinders

I can name a much more powerful car with 16 valves!

What about a 1998 Renault Megane Coupe? It had a 2.0 lt 150hp engine, and 0 - 100 around 8 seconds. That was a good car back then.

Posted by Alexandra
What about that mid-engined Clio :?

Posted by carkitter
Actually the Fiat Coupe was not designed by Ferrari. The exterior was by Chris Bangle (now at BMW) and the interior was by Pininfarina (who do the styling for Ferrari, Peugeot and some Hyundai's). The 2.0L 16v Turbo motor was borrowed from the Lanci Delta Integrale which is not a bad thing... Later versions had 20 valves not because of 5 valves per cylinder (ala Ferrari F355) but due to a 5 cylinder engine (ala Volvo).

Still love that shape!

Not convinced by that Lambo though. The LP640 was a beautiful update of an already classic Murcielago shape, this latest version looks like it's trying too hard to be different.

The Italians should leave Audi alone to get on with the job of reviving Lamborghini. Look at Audi's latest designs - TT MK2, R8, A5/S5, Gallardo Coupe and Spyder - all top notch stuff, they know what they're doing!

Am I the only one who thinks the TTmk2 looks far worse than the Mark 1?

Posted by QVGA
Thats far too aggressive for me.
I'm more of a BMW/Merc person.

I like BMWs and Mercs too

Dunno? Perhaps...

The TT mk2 is a more cohesive design IMO, it's grown is size (the mk1 was claustrophobic inside) and has a stronger chassis and firmer suspension. The mk1 was a landmark in 90's car design but was fundamentally flawed in that it's shape created lift causing Audi to retro-fit a small boot spoiler to curb high speed stability problems...

The TTmk1 was only only good at looking good, so I've read in many many road tests about the TTmk2. They've gone on performance for the new one, and it looks way better than most cars in its class. I know for sure I'd deffo have the new TT over the Z4 (unless it's a Z4M, which completely changes the subject).

But seriously, who doesn't want a mini R8?

This one for me!

The best designed car in modern times, done by the legendary Gordon Murray who also did the most succesful F1 car ever, the McLaren MP4/4 of 1988.

I have to say it looks great

Held the Car Landspeed record t'ill 05 that did.

And for a cheap little sports car look here lol.

Lol - not what you where expecting

Between 135-145 BHP, 0-62 in just over 7 seconds, top sped of 135mph.

It has the same engine as the MG TF (1.8 Litre VVC)

And we sold ours 2 years ago for 1800 Quids so they cheap as chips aswell.

Yep, and it looks like it belongs to a 85 year old woman named Maureen who takes it to the shops on Sundays

Production car record... then along came the Veyron.

Land speed record belongs to Thrust SSC if I'm not wrong.

This is my sports car...I love driving this.
Have recently changed front and side indicators and rear lights, so they are all clear, just not taken a photo yet.

Yeah thats why i said car landspeed

Also actually it was the Koenigsegg CCR, and is currently the SSC ULTIMATE AERO

The veyron never was the official fastest car.

Here are the current standings
1. SSC Ultimate Aero (255.8 mph)
2. Bugatti Veyron (253.4 mph) unofficial
3. Koenigsegg CCR (242.0 mph) previous holder
4. McLaren F1 (240.1 mph) previous holder

And they the best "daily driver" supercars in the world!! Thats the one thing Porsche had over all supercars, now Audi/Lambo has taken it to another level.

This is something that they dont tell you, the Veyron has 1001ps (995bhp) so it's not the most powerful production vehicle though.

The Koenigsegg CCXR is more powerful than the Veyron, it's got 1004BHP and it runs on E85 biofuel. Halved carbon footprint and goes like stink!

(See TG Mag 166).

What more could you want?

Decent boot, comfortable space for 4 adults, 40MPG+, lower tax and insurance, the list is endless

That bit at the front looks like a decent boot, room for 2, 22l/100km(dont know that in mpg), sky high tax and insurance.

But you do get an almighty soundtrack!!

and...

it's sorta green, runs on biofuel, see?

EDIT: Pic removed, was a CCR, not an CCXR.
EDIT2: Pic added. Found the right one.
