ask for it again, it can happen, that they send u the wrong one. afaik u can try 3 times
edit : u can still unlock it, but for that, u have to contact the operator for a special code

call your operator, thats the best and tell them whats up. guess its not the first time u type such a code with all those * # p w etc so the code must be wrong

Hi all,
Sorry but it is a maximum of 3 times after which it is no longer possible to unlock by anyone as confirmed to me earlier this Year by a Nokia Service Centre and why i got brand new N73. When a sales assistant @ a Voda shop insisted on trying more than 3 times and made it unlock able.

Did you try using the online service with http://nokia.free.org

Thanks for the link, but i don't really want to risk entering another unlock code in just incase i block it, will contact Virgin

By the way, what code do you want to break or unlock?

Cheers mate, don't think that site supports Nokia 6300 at the moment.
Another quick question though guys. The code i inputted into the phone was different to the one in the letter sent, one digit was wrong. If i input the correct digits for the code is it worth it or should i contact Virgin just incase.

ask the op imo, no need to get yourself into more trouble

One more thing Bob. I think he should come with connviencing info which shows that the phone is his.

Comfrot MDU, i should do that because? All i'm doing is making a general enquiry, there are a lot of knowlegdable guys on here who may have other suggestions. Contacting the OP is the obvious choice but there may be an alternative someone can suggest if they've had a problem like this this in the past.
I don't need to prove this is my phone to be honest.
