Hi,
I debranded my Orange (UK) K800i. Everything appears to work just fine. I used the SE configurator to restore my data/MMS settings.
I can go 'online' successfully. I can access my account info from the new look Orange world page. However a few hours or days after going online I get sent a text from Orange as follows:
"From:Orange_PAYM.
Hi from Orange. Your phone needs updated settings to use Orange data services. We will text you the update shortly. please accept it. any queries call 150"
I never get the update, only the warning text. I will call 150 if/when I get time, but in the meantime anyone had the same issue/worked out how to solve it?

I have this exact same problem. Have you managed to fix this? My phone was never actually "branded" in the first place - it's just a sim-free phone but I have updated to the latest firmware to fix a problem I was having and now I get these "your phone needs updated settings to use data services" message from "Orange_PAYG". They arrive every 1-2 days and usually in the middle of the night! If anyone has any idea how I can fix this, please let me know. I guess the only solution might be to install some Orange branded firmware. Otherwise, I'm going to have to change networks to fix this problem.
Unlike the above poster, I DO get the update texts, but installing them and restarting the phone doesn't make any difference. It just keeps resending the settings every couple of days.

I've finally managed to fix this problem which has been irritating me for months.
Solution: I switched to T-Mobile! Problem solved!
