To start off, I would like to introduce myself. I am Sukimonster and I got the link for this forum from a Mobile420 moderator after telling him my problem. Well anyways the problem with my W800i is that everytime I go into Camera Mode then take a picture, it automatically closes and the picture doesn't save. I've already tried using the Master Reset but it still didn't work. I also updated my phone a couple of times before using the Sony Ericsson Update Service but that was before the Camera Crash problem. I'm wondering if anyone else had the same problem and how they fixed it?

Sounds like a problem with your camera ribbon flex cable. This could have either become damaged over time, or it's become slightly dislodged in it's connector either on the motherboard or on the camera unit itself.
If you feel confident and competent, try taking your phone apart and making sure these are still securely fitted. If the problem persists, you'll need to buy a new ribbon cable (They're fairly cheap) and replace it.

I think your right because my Phone accidentally dropped from a small stool yesterday and after that I tried to take a picture and it worked but it went back to not working again. Ill try taking it to a repair outlet somewhere to have it fixed soon.. thanks for the help, ill update on how it goes after i get it looked at.

Hey Sukimonster..would be great if you could give me an update regarding the camera trouble. Did you get the ribbon thingy replaced? Where from and how much did it cost you if you did?
