Life is really in the shitter right now. Been homeless for 3 months, just moved into a house which is nice, but my mates have turned it into a tip within the 3 days theyve been here. Past few months lost allot of money from scammers, and now my car has been broken into (last night), with my sunglasses - (bday pressy), my tomtom, some pett cash, and a cd wallet of music all stollen, as well as damage to the inside of my car.

best bit is although I have 3 diffent policies with various insureers none of tis covered...

just waiting for a call now from the window people so they can come and fit a new window, and me loose my remaining £70 I had to live off till I get some money in from sales.

PS. anyone got any good ideas so I can get some money within the week so I can fix this mess.

p.s.s If anyone wants to buy a guitar, speakers, amp, video camera, psp or anything please give me a call or pm.

thanks, and sorry about the rant

Jeez its not been a good year for you has it Luke? If I was you I would see your current gaff as semi-permanent and start looking for somewhere nicer ASAP.

On top of all that has happened you don't need to have to cope with scruffy housemates on top of everything.

I've used easyroommate.com before which was good as you can rent rooms in peoples flats - ones that they own themselves, so it will always be clean and tidy.

If I had more money I probably would have had the Camcorder off you but I am going away next week and need my spends.

Sorry buddy.

not the best mate.

um I actually live at the top end of cheltenham, but last night when I got home my usual place was taken so I just parket next road down...

Can't do allot abot my flat mates, they are all very good mates, all the guys I hang about with at uni, they are just messy.

Posted by Ridahz
Ahh sorry to here that mate not a good week at all. But im sure things will get better bud. If i was you get your car windows tinted when you have some spare cash that way breaking in will take too long also a decent alarm if you already dont have one

Posted by Chartreuse Eyes
Its sad! But they say life is not a bed of roses for anyone. Anyway all i can say is best wishes from me.

Posted by procterdc
And me mate, hope things look up for you soon.

Posted by leeboy13
awwww matey! this sucks ass! you ok and stuff!?

as for making some money, ring me dude may be able to help ya

(after 5 tho, as im likely to get my nuts sawn off if i waste anymore time in work - eeeek! )

all the ebst bud, and as for your housemates turning the place into a tip, its gonna happen bro, especially at the start when they just move in...... gay i know, but thats student life for ya!

Posted by Luke-the-magic-man
@ Rid - may just sell the car lol, get me some shiny pennys.... getmyself a bike or sumin lol

@ lee, il give ya a call when I can man, my mate has just got a job that pays 70 a day, through a agency and I am hoping he can hook me up. Im alright just a bit depressed, I was fine till I found out the cool nicked my satnav, it was hidden just not well enough.

Itl all get better soon, but im supposed to be going to ireland 2moz, now I may have to call that off as I need a new window fitted and I have no money to drink with, but I don't want to waste such an experience.

Only good thing is I know where not to park now lol.

Posted by leeboy13
thats it matey, keep looking positive, i know its hard too at times like this but sh!t happens pal and everything makes us stronger and wiser

will speak to you soon dude! take it easy and get your ass out to ireland - lob it on a Credit card man, im sure you'll earn the money to sort it all out with ya wheeling and dealing

Posted by gregface
you got an overdraft?

very good idea if you don't and have a student account, since it will be interest free and could be up to £1200 roughly, assuming you are in early uni years.

Posted by leeboy13
i had 2000 pound as my limit when i was a student - it did take 2 years to pay off tho - lmao!!!!!!

Posted by Miss UK
Luke where have you been living previousley?

Im in abit of situation the same I was thrown out by my mother without having any money to go anywhere, Im just lucky my pal has took me in it's abit hectic living here as does his mother she's ok though,
I know I cannot live here long I don't intend on that anyways I feel like a scivvy for them half the time there very un-tidy nothing like my Mothers house lol

Ok im alil fussy on the work prospects now but I need a decent paid job if im to move out into my own flat it's hard to survive on shit wages

Im doing my hardest to get something finding the correct
job takes time though!!!

Sorry for my rant too I hope you manage to sort everything,
wouldn't your parents give you a hand?

Posted by Luke-the-magic-man
I was in uni halls till the end of term then nowhere. My parents won't help.

It's a bit shit really, is there so place you can get help from like the government? Or can you get some kind of loan?

Posted by Luke-the-magic-man
some semi good news.

After useing a f**k load of credit and over 4 hours phone time I have someone coming today (tonight) to replace the window. Only paying a 70 excess, now all I need is a new satnav and some glasses...

lol im 19. I do have savings, but do not want to use them. They are a last resort and to fund dreams not to blow on shit such as replacing car parts that some twat decides to nick etc.

Its got a bit worse, was supposed to be in ireland today, but my mate got us to the airport 15 min late. 1st time ive ever missed a plane.

Uni doesnt do this to you, This is a series of unforchanate events. Uni is the only reason im still here and so far has been the best year of my life.

Blimey miss UK and Luke, sad stories both, i have kids around your age 23,21 and 2 .
Technically it's possible to get a crisis loan from the DHSS guys BUT only if your not working or studying.
My kids have put us through some shit in their time but being a parent means you gotta take the good with the bad, you cannot switch off from your kids.
My two work in catering so they had jobs with hotel rooms thrown in, crap pay but plenty of tips/perks.

Search for a trust called the hardship fund, not sure it is available nationwide, but I hope it might be. here in scotland you apply and they give you money (£200 or so) to help you get by - once you have applied and shown them you need it (with official proof) you may well continue receiving from it again and again. Great source of happiness.
