Hello i have som questions about touchFLO
1. do i have to use the pen to write sms and things like that or does it work fine just using thumb with everything in the phone.
2. do the lg u990 (viewty) use touchFLO or is it some other "touchFLO like" from lg as gui.
3. Could i get som user input from users with touchFLO i dont like the pen at all and want to do everythinhg ing my finger is that possible.
and would relly like to know how u think of the touchFLO gui

i don't think you can write smses without the use of the stylus though nearly all things can be accomplished without the use of the stylus. the lg viewty uses a gui that is different from TouchFLO.

I think TouchFlo is only in HTC devices and for now only HTC Touch and TyTn2 got that features

ok so the viewty has probobly an own built gui.
About the sms texting isnt there an option to use regular (numric) keypad in sms so i can use multitapping.
A had the qtek s100 before and hated that i always had to take out the pen even to click icon on the desk top.
And one more thing does thease devices use optic touch screen like neonode and iphone or is it the ordinary touchscreen that senses pressure.

TouchFLO is a development of HTC. you won't find it in other devices apart from HTC.
TouchFLO is a gui over the existing WM6 OS. And it does just a sort of basic operation. You can start applications and use media player, photos, video etc. but the actual work like writing sms or email etc is still a stylus-based operation of windows mobile.
you have actually the possibility to use a fullscreen virtual keyboard from RESCO. i don't remember the exact name, but i think it's resco keyboard pro...just google it. this keyboard enables you to fully use the screen and your fingers as the keyboard is bigger than the windows mobile own virtual keyboard. you can actually see how it works here in a comparison between the htc touch and the iphone:

check out video...very good one!

thanks for the link but im still a little sceptic i would like a phone that has a gui similar to the ipone but the spec similar to the viewty and htc touch.
Anyone that have tryed lg:s gui for the viewty is that more "thumb friendly"??

i have the HTC touch, and the touch flowe is get (still getting used to it, but amazing).....
and you can write msg's without the stylist (if youre fingers are liek the tip of a needle

the TYTN II does have the GUI "like" touchFLO, but not the actualy functionality because to use this whole 3D effects you need a specific touchscreen which only the HTC Touch has. so no touchFLO function, just the look-a-like GUI

well, iphone uses OS of apple, so completely different. the LG viewty is not out yet, but i think the prada is similar. go and try it out or google/youtube it to find out more.
The touch is really nice, but it's not a totally thumbfriendly smartphone like an iphone

yeah ill try to get my hands on the prada to take a look at the gui.
The thing is that prada has lg os and the viewty has wm6 but they maby will recode the gui from lg to wm so the functions are just the same.
When will the viewty be released.
And what would it cost
