It works on my T650....

However, only large clock will show.....

...and there's a floating, incomplete digit right next where the clock seperator colon's bottom dot sits! Looks quite funny....

i mean theres no other object there... and the LOGo is vanished?

coz way back in K750.. theres a bar replacing the logo.. an image from one of the menu...

@bigboy: can you use an animated wallpaper without any problem? i ask it because on my k750, the layout i have on, makes that the animated wallpapers get seen incomplete.

I tried doing : changing themes , use animated images as wallpaper , change icon menu etc..... and everything's ok !

no bug , no error

It works perfectly on K800 , K810 and W850

skylineR35 it's no problem for backup if the layout xml files are the same in the older firmwares for K800. I have older one extracted so I think it won't be any problem.

Yes, K800 is different, but I sold mine last year! If you have access to W880, that shares the exact setup of T650.....no worries either way though!

How do I get to tpa/system/layout? Do I need a different PC/phone lead other than the supplied one? My PC won't access the phone without

PC Suite.

all we need to do now is to find a way to install new font types...

you dont need to change anything in the layout file.
its even easier, just name the fonts which you want to use with the right name and copy it via FAR Manager to:
TPA | PRESET | SYSTEM | FONTS

and thats it...

One problem I have noticed is that if you leave a Note to show in Standby the text size is very small and is barely readable.
If you can fix this I will be very happy indeed.

and about the font... i was able to change fonts.. tho im not happy about it. coz if you ever change system fonts. you have to tweak some of the layout, for your fonts to fir perfectly all through out. coz if you just change fonts, some are mis-aligned. tho twas quite fun having different fonts. just not that satisfactory..

Finally manged to get rid of my vodafone logo

Took me about a minute using XS++

Created a folder on my desk top - files_to_upload then in that folder created tpa folder then system folder and finally layout folder with the .xml file in the final folder.

then open XS++
Click "Connect "
Turn off the phone
Hold C
Connect to USB lead
Once connected click "Customize file system"
Click "Settings"
Click "BreakXS"
Click "FSX"
Click "Start FSX"

XS++ will then work its magic and should come up with a message telling you to disconnect your phone.

Easy.

Just joined this forum and wanted to say thanks to all that contributed to the "Remove logo operator for K800" tip. I own a K810i and the steps mvf4 outlined worked perfectly.

I have one concern, however...the one Neo-Tech mentioned:

So from the four XML files used in this mod, which entries need adjusting so that the Note-In-Standby displays at its default font size (the size it was before the mod was applied).

Yeah that'd be nice to know too. But, on the other hand, I actually kinda like how the font size is smaller, cuz now you can write heaps more in your notes haha lol

But knowing which entry to change to alter the font size would be awesome too!
