Ok,this is weird,
got my t68i in august and before i activated GPRS with orange i had the blue triangle showing on my phone and it never went away unless i switched it off, anywhere i go it would work but my signal strength for voice calls was always at around 2,3,4 bars which dont bother me cus i use it more for data calls.
Then at the start of november GPRS just disappeared and only a week ago it will come on now and then and last about 2-3 mins a day.
If i go out of my street and down the road for about 1/2 a mile it'll work with full signal strength and it stay's on all the time i am out but as soon as i get close to home it just goes.
I'm starting to get really pi**ed off with this as the only way to get it to work at home now is to get the signal strength down to 1-2 bars by covering the top of the phone where the antenna is with my hand.
It doesnt always work but when it does i try to post a reply or general wap browsing i will lose the connection and it's really frustrating if i've written quite a bit but then can't post it.
I'm sick of ringing orange about it cus all i get is 'tech support are still working on it' and 'we have plans for 3 more mast's in your area',YEAH,IN 9-12 MONTH'S TIME.
So does anyone have any idea why i had GPRS for 2 month's SOLID then ZAP....GONE.
I beleive orange have pumped up the signal strength and that's affected my GPRS,(i get 5 bars now most of the time).
When i've phoned orange one person tell's me that they put priority to voice calls but another will say,no we don't.
I know GPRS is still new and will get teething prob's but do they really know what they are talking about.
Orangeman tell's me i will get GPRS back, but the BIG question is,WHEN!
If anyone has got any idea's or comment's please reply.

Thanxs.

try a sim swap if you can into another gprs handset - see what happens - if prob stays with phone - handset fault - if not sim prob/network

But it works absolutely solid outside a 1/2 mile radius from my home.

Orange have a fault!

Orange are in league with satan. They are trying to destroy our sanity with GPRS glitches. It seems to be working...

if you have orange insurance you could do this:
If Orange refuse to give you a full admission that their network providing service is at fault (i.e. that you are then paying for a service you can't use, and hence should be getting some compensation) keep asking for new handsets (its the only other bit that could be wrong afterall) until they start to take your problem seriously!!

if not. abandon all hope!

Had it back about a week now after one person at Orange said i should'nt even be getting it in my area.

And my signal strength is stronger than before.

Nice one!

they do send out engineers to adjust the 'radiation waves' from the transmitters - this must have been what they did - I often request tech support to do this if there are no reported probs & transmitters seem ok - nice MMS's boyi

If u ever get any glitches again just try + send a MMS. I had a the same problem + some times sending a MMS helped boost the conection
