Ok, with my GCSE results coming on august 23rd, I should hopefully be getting some good money from the results (touch wood). So, The xbox 360 elite is coming out the day after, and will cost £330 (70 cheaper than the ps3). So what do you guys think i should get? If they were the same pirce, and both had the same games i would get the ps3. It would be heplfull if you posted why you think i should get what!

360 or PS3? I say do what i have done and got both.....
At the moment i'd say get a 360 purely because of the amount of games that are out and the fact xbox live is more developed than Playstation Network....
In a years time i'd say it will be a differant story

And yeah i no there like 5 game out for the ps3 which is kinda crap. The only games i really want are gta iv, pes 2008 and tekken 6. Then im sorted

Tbh m8 I would get a 360 not an elite and then get a nice TV to go along with it- I'm trying to get a TV for my GCSE's anyway

i mean, we have the 360 with a massively high failure rate and we have windows whose downsides needs no introduction.
I'm on my second 360 now but to be honest I wouldn't get a PS3 simply because of the price and the lack of games. Whats the point of paying £300 for it when you'll be playing motorstorm 5000 times a day? Thats my thought anyway

Brand alignment aside you are correct, the PS3 is the more reliable console.....
Hell my 360 is only hanging on itself it freezes at least once a day and i frequently get 3 red lights but its still hanging in there....

You forgot Resistance..... Admittedly they are probably the only two games really worth getting though F1 is pretty good too. Though you are forgetting it also has a larger HD as standard, Playstation Network is free, its teh cheapest blu ray player on the market...... Plus a biggy for me, its a hundred times quieter than my 360

I think the 360 has it all. Great games, great graphics, great online facility. Yes there have been problems but I've had mine 6 months and not had a single problem.
The only thing that the PS3 has, is a whopping great big price tag lol

Even if this is true, this wont be announced for a long time I would'nt have thought as the elite only comes out here on Friday. And if it were true what are the GTA players going to do without the HD drives?

Nah they aint dropping, instead of dropping the price from £425 there just doing a standard pack, with the PS3 60GB console, an extra sixasis controller, resistance and motorstorm all for £425

360 Premium's are now down to £250...
And having played on a ps3 last weekend i can honestly say i'm extremely disappointed... Maybe in the next 6-12months when the games get better but for the moment, i'm happy with my xbox...

For those of you complaining of the lack of games on the PS3, HERE is a list ps3 exclusives.
As far as i'm considered the list is pretty impressive and if i can get a chance to play all those titles + the added bluray player by making an investment of £400..i would defo go for it! (infact i've gone for it
