when you change menu files, all shortcut icons get replaced with arrows. You will have to delete the shortcuts and recreate them to fix it.

Well pretty much everytime I change my menu, the activity menu shortcuts change to arrows. Maybe this only happens if you have changed your shortcuts from default.

It may be related to a menu.ml error, but you can fix the shortcuts by re-creating them.

Hi, Im a noob when it comes to installing menu.ml files. I did transer the menu.ml files to TPA\PRESET\SYSTEM\MENU using xs++. when i switch my phone on it says something like menu.ml renders unsuable. what should i do with the .png files? ami I supposed to put them somewhere? if so, where should i put them?

please help me out someone.

thanx 4 the answer but sum1 else helped me figured it out

u c tht menu was made for a k810

all i had to do was delete the trackID entry and it fixed it

The phone is great,, never had any problems with it. (im running R1FA045 FIRMWARE)
the only thing that is don't like that when you play music the phone is ssoooooooooooooooo freaking slow you can't even send a sms to someone..

i got the standard menu for k800i, but i would like to change a few icons on it and the way it looks, instead of having all the icons on one screen i'd like to have either a TABBED menu or a menu that ROTATES

Not a theme. You can find menu icons... K800 can be modded in many ways. Just use the search around the forum...

xs++ 3.1 (NOT version 3.2) works perfectly. Other than that you need NOTEPAD (for editing menus) and an image editor for creating icons

I can confirm too that XS++ 3.1 is working awesome. I use it a long time (since it's release) and never had problems with it.

Well you shouldn't be like that. Modding won't do any damage if done properly. But if done unproper it may damage the phone. So before modding read twice, make sure you have everything needed and you know what you are doing. You know, what's done, can't be undone so be careful...

well i have been reading the instructions others gave me
but i only felt confident that i can do it before i tried
when i did i downloaded Phone XS V2
and then either XS++3.1 or XS++3.2 ;
and neither of these worked
so right now i'd rather pay somebody to sort of show me how its done properly and if they could do it for me

Well don't know what exactly you want... Menu mods??? If so, you should use the FSX option of XS++3.1. That should open your phone filesystem folders. You the navigate to tpa/preset/system/menu and place the new menu files there...

XS++ works only on CID52 k800i mine is CID53 and I use far+jdflasher to get into the filesystem and change menu files. It is really simple. Just be sure you got a copy of the original files, if you don;t give a shout here and I'm sure someone will extract them from a firmware and upload it for you (i got some too if you need).

Finding original files from filesystem is not such big problem... If you cannot find them around the internet after all, just let me know, I can extract firmware to get you the files.

but when i opened phone XS V2 or XS++ 3.2
none wf these would detect my phone via USB and the part when u select stuff like FXS and the other options was set on "settings" and i couldn't change it cos that part was inactive

Do you have flash drivers installed? You have to install them in order XS++ to recognize your phone.

Hi, I'm new to all this modding stuff, but so far it worked ok

I have a K800, and I've used it with FAR and Jflasher to get rid of that ugly Vodafone screens and set up the generic one, and also made some acoustic and camera modifications.

I've reached some problems at the menu modification part though, and to be more precise i couldn't replace the "play now" button with the "walkman".

My question is: is this thing possible? i've started from max_wedge's menu(liked it very much) but wanted to make some modifications regarding the 1st menu, instead of the Mini Commander i wanted to have the mp3 player shortcut from the k800 (i'm using it very frequently). Please help

I've tried using notepad, but without any succes so far...

I've read the thread you mentioned, but to be honest i don't really understand how to make the "play now" shorctut to be replaced with the "walman one"

im trying to change icon 6 on the menu of my k810i (flashed from k800) so that it links to eBuddy instead of the music player. the icons i've changed no problem from the music notes to the msn icon, but the link is ineffective, yet reports no errors with the menu.

i changed icon 1 from preplay to KD Player without any problems and I'm at a loss now on what im doing wrong. im using (or trying to!) eBuddy 1.0
