i label it "MCmedia icon" coz most of the icons i used here are from macromedia flash program..

what if someone expert here could make a UIQ 3.1 like menu background, with the mozilla logo replacing that nasty IE one and the camera icon being replaced by an image of a canon IXUS 850IS

ahuh, and there are also free sites where you can download icons for your desktop, those that come with a *.png file... good images for editing.

just cant find time to look into it...

but i guess the artists of esato can manage that...

it doesnt need for another budding artist...

In the thread is a link to the thread at se-nse where that menu can be found. It's a massive thread and won't be any easier for us to search for the menu than it will be for you. So go back and read through this thread and find the link, then go to se-nse via that link and find the menu.

All good things are worth doing a bit of work for.

i am new to menu modding and thanks to the help of the folks on this thread (specially MAX) i have managed to create a menu,
i want to upload it but i would also like to know how can i post(take) a picture of what my phone menu looks like? i have seen many nice pictures of your menus so i am guessing there is a utility to do it. or a java app maybe?

one way is to use the K800 version of menuedit (available on se-nse) and use printscreen, or simply to take a macro photo of the phone's screen. They are the simplest methods. I think with some software (that requires service cable) it's possible to do screenshots, and possibly a java program, but I myself have never seen such software myself only heard about it.

X1 means where it starts & X2 is where it finishes.
Same with Y1 & Y2. Thats the best i could explain it.

so its like a polygon shape where talking about here...

a box area where the fonts should appear... so then, what if thta box area is small for the whole fonts to show...

hence the phone wont show it... am i right?! which brings me to the question:

what is the standard box area for these fonts. like how wide or how thick the box will be... few differences in X2 from X1 (Y2 from Y1)?

Looking for a bit of advice here. I'm new to modding and I'm trying to change the menu in my K800i and I've followed the instructions to change it using XS++ but it crashes half way through flashing, I tried a few times, with two different versions of XS++ but it still crashed.

So I tried to update it with setool and it says it's flashed it (I'm putting the tpa file in the 'misc file' section, is that right?) but the menu doesn't change.

What am I doing wrong?

I wanna replace the media player with a folder. And in that folder i wanna add the media player, video player and kd player....

Yep, you can use a K790 menu.ml, then replace the "icon" tags with the image names (see beginning tute) of the icons you want (selected and unselected). Use this icon pack but change the names of the icons to match their new positions, and use your modified K790 menu.ml.
