Posted by phillipjordan
WHY NOT??

thats a bit stupid wat if u download another one like the matrix one will that get rid of it

Posted by Cytech

it's there for a purpose... it saves battery and it prevent the image in the display to burn on to the screen...

Posted by phillipjordan
yeh but cant u replace it with one u download to your fone or order/??

Posted by Porter
No.The screensaver you may download (no matter what kind is) is shown for only a few seconds, then da clock is back
BTW Screensaver is in T68i only,if you have T68m - you have just da clock

Posted by phillipjordan
yeh ive got a t68i

but still shudnt have to put up witht hat crappy clock wat if i want the matrix thing permanently.

wats the point of being able to buy animations when they cant b kept on

Try to find a way to "hack" it out of the phone and you will make a lot of people happy

And what do you mean with "buy" an animation??? You can get them for free all over the web...or make them yourself.

yeh where are the links then??? and do they send them to your fone for free?

if you can give me any links which do this i will b grateful

Man, are you lazy !!! When i got my t68i, the next day i already had TONS of rings, screensavers, pics, and themes.
Just search for "t68i screensaver" in google or something...

If you look to the left upper corner of this page you see a line (link) "Screensavers" click on it...all you need now is an IR or BT thing on your computer

If u want a screensaver (animated or not) to be on your phone for a long time, turn "off" your auto key lock, turn your display light to "on",then go to the screensaver of your choice in "my pictures" & just leave it on the screen for ages, be carefull though cos if u pick up the phone and automatically press "c" then "yes"(or joystick) you will delete the screensaver. . . .

Actually you can "Fool" the t68i regarding the screen saver duration. The t68i shows 44 frames of the .gif file, after that it will switch to the clock. All I did is that I created a non looping animated gif (ie it only runs once) less than 44 frames. In this way the mobile never reaches the 44 frames it requires to switch to the clock and therefore it remains on the last frame of the gif until you press a key.
The only drawback is that the display back light remains on as well so the battery life will be drastically reduced.

I raeally don't envy your battery charger

@atcprox, nice one, nice to see a person who won`t be beaten. saying it saps battery was a negative coment, it does of corse, but your suggestion is not an IRREVERSABLE MOD it`s another option isn`t it. someone on here (i forget his name) said my way was stupid/too much trouble, some people just want a particular picture on the phone for longer & there IS a way, wonder why some other people on here who love new technology can be so negetive.
