My 11 year old lad accidently dropped my k800i in the bath while he was showing me something on it sat morn.( i was having a soak) Anyhoo i whipped it out ( the phone ) as quick as i could, took the battery out then stripped it down to just the basic board. Dried it with the hairdryer for 30 mins and hey presto, worked as before. Phew, Only had it a week too as it was a replacement for a faulty one. Once again....HOW LUCKY!!!!!

Wow, you got really lucky... this time.. kidding .

Very lucky and you took the right action straight after.

It happened to a phone of mine which fell into a vodka and coke but I took it apart and swilled it around in a bowl of water to remove all the sticky stuff then let it dry off and it survived although the screen took a while to get back to normal.

Well it was my party-phone.

I have a sensible daytime phone and I have a party-phone for taking out to pubs and parties, it must have wanted a piece of the action.

Wow thats pretty lucky, though nice rescue!

a sonic bath would be good for it imo, if possible, let it done asap, just for secure... it still can happen, that in some weeks some mailfunctions could pop up in the fone

My old D600 had a bath like that too I was so surprised it would still work after that the water was scorching hot in which it fell

I accidentally dropped my k800 down the toilet a couple of weeks back after a few too many beers. Got it back out and stripped it apart and dried it. Next day it turned on but the screen wasn't working. Thankfully orange sent me a new/ reconditioned one through the insurance. :)

Did 0range have the other one back off you after it had been down the Toilet?

Yes. They quizzed me for about ten minutes about what happened and how i tried to dry the phone. Said under my insurances terms and conditions i was covered but would incur a £15 admin fee on my next bill. Had to give the courier my old phone and he gave me my new one.

Hmmm, that could have sounded pretty bad without (the phone) in there lol, especially when you are in the bath lol

lol I can't believe they took it back after it had been down the toilet,
makes you wonder it will be fixed and re-sold to someone else without them knowing it had been down the toilet lmao
