Will someone please give me following answers. To me they just make no sense.

1. So unlike T68i, with T300 you can download games and polyfonic tones, why does it have less memory then?

2. Why did they make front face interchangable, when they dont have faceplates anywhere? There is little paper in T300 box giving you phone number, item number, colors for plates, but when you call SE, they are totally confused?

3. What is little green marble for? I cannt really use it to nail pictures on the wall. Maybe future site of comunicam

4. Why doesnt the MCA-25 match the phone design? Well it doesnt match anything, except '60 russian minibuses.

5. There is little hidden red LCD in upper right corner? does it do anything?

Posted by potok
missed one

6. Why does Communicam MCA25 has MORE!!! memory then T300? Does SE suggest i use MCA as my memory card? hmmm

Posted by DJ Teknosys
I agree with most of what you said, that's why i got a T68i after only having the T300 for two weeks. By the way, the stupid red LED lights up when you have low battery, or blinks with programed ringtone

Potok> can u tell me how many memory does d t300 have? Im planing 2 buy dis month. What do u suggest. Thanx.

Posted by keichi
And how many memory does the t300 have?

Posted by nookiehunter
im sure SE will clear these things up real soon

Posted by dragontrumpetare
Well everything about the T300 was that it should be cheap. Thats way it is just 1Mb memory in the phone. The trouble is that SE put pics games and Polyfonicsignals in the phone from start which means you only have half of the memory left. Just delete everything to get more space or buy MCA-25. I believe that SE will do a memoryextention for it in the future. But we user have to ask for it. Either way it's the best phone I've ever had.RegardsJerry

Whats d memory size of mca25?

aggree with all

Posted by dmgpizen
Well, if U realy dont like the T300 why buy it....?

Posted by faca

Well said, dmgpizen. @potok: people who make phones are not idiots, they are very smart people. Idiots are the ones who decide they don't like a certain phone AFTER they have already bought it and then whine about it on forums.

Posted by dmgpizen
@faca : Exactly my point...
I would have written a bit more but I could not write so many characters from my "WAP device"...

Posted by ppcrockar
I really don't get the complain's. The memory size is the same as the T68 AFAIK. There are just more stuff installed from the start. Delete some stuff if you want more memory. In any case T300&T68 has quite alot memory compared to some other brands.

Of course there will be changable faceplates available. It's just a matter of time I guess.

The design of the camera is subjective of course, but I don't think it look that bad actually.

The red LED is a battery warning. I find it strange that they did remove the green LED though

Posted by fregor
The faceplates are "unconfirmed" in the middle of December according to logistics people at SE.

Who's the muppet that set up this post?

Java is not a big kb burner, thats what is clever about it !

Posted by dmgpizen
Tony > Thats right, but the T300 does not support java, it is the Mophun platform it uses....

Posted by Tony Ericsson
ooops...cheers, my mistake.

Posted by bart
the T300 has got the same sw as the T68 except for some funcions, but everything thats already installed on the T300 takes alot of memory it would have the same result whit the T68. i like the T300 except its a bit thick and to straight, we need more lines.

Posted by ewap8
Haha!

This phone sounds like crap. Hard luck 4 everyone who bought it

Posted by faca
@ewap8: Do you mind sharing with us what do you find so funny and crappy about this phone? IMHO, T300 is certainly not crap, it is an excellent phone for its price. But, perhaps you know of a better one in the same price range?

even if T300 have less memory...but does this mean you cannot store as much SMS in your phone compare to T68?

Or you cannot store as much background? ringtone? email etc?

COME ON LAH!!! SE have mentioned numerous time that IT IS MEANT FOR THE MASS MARKET !!!! MASS MARKET mean it should be affordable and with features that is normally used, it is not meant professional group who need advance features like Bluetooth or PIM....and they even take away the voice dial since a lot of normal phone user might not use them so often.

If you cannot understand SE ad in your native laungage then it is your fault and not the people who design it.

This post was posted from a Nokia

hahahahahahahaha! I agree

i do feel all the complaint you have raised are valid , but to be fair you should have researched the phone before purchasing it, i too was dissapointed with the T300, but to be fair it is placed at the lower end of the market which is reflected in it's price. Come on they arent idiot's could you produce it , i think not.

I think it's very funny

hmm .. u mean a nt well designed t68i

Posted by bart
is the joystick any good lets say for a woman of 40years that has had a nokia 5110 for 4years and is gonne buy a T300 should she buy it or not?

Posted by potok
so the question was why did i buy the phone, well i had no other option. I ordered t68i for t-mobile, usa, from amazon.com, and two months later i just canceled and got well, similar, t300.
The phone left too much to be desired for, so are you telling me to wait for t300m, and then t300i and by the end of 2004 t300ie so everything will be fine.
Whats up with SE and waiting, allways waiting for new model, for upgrade, for accessory.

now i am back trying to figure out more use of that little green marble. maybe if i rub it i will get more memory from the phone, hmmmm

Posted by wrecked_porsche
There is NO t300ie it is called t302, go read up pal !

Posted by fu|at^t68
c'mon, how much u paid for the phone together with the digital camera? what do u all expect out from the amount u all paid? it's worth of what u purchased with the money u spent.

be fair to everyone. when nokia come out with the faceplate which can change accordingly. they have no stock on the market after the phone already out. be patient and wait.

about the memory.... it's way much better than lots of phone out there who claim that they have memory.

Posted by Sam79
The one who made it was no idiot! He took the best things people mostly use out of the t68 + few other things, and made a great phone with a great price!

Posted by lazarini
the phone is useles for me since it hasent got integrated connection

Posted by Sam79
I got one T300, DBA-10, Ipaq and a jabra headset. And it works fine for me

@ bart

My mother who is close to 50, has bought a T300 (she had a Ericsson GA628 before), she loves the T300, and think it's very easy to use.

The joystick on the T300 looks small, but I think it's very good. In fact I think it is even better than the T68 joystick.

I really love the T300! It is a real multimedia-phone compared to the T68i. Because the T300 has polyphonic sound, that is great when you use it with MMS! In my opinion the T300 beats T68i with mono sound. I think that the sound is one of the most important features! I know that the T300 lacks of something from the T68i features but it has some major features that the T68i don't have. I love the T300! It's a real multimedia-phone!

Posted by jamiescott
She's only just got rid of her 628??? It seems like a life time ago I had one of those babies, the step up to the A1018 seemed like one giant leap for mankind at the time, if only i knew then what i know now... even though I then went drunken swimming with the A1018 in my pocket and had to return to the GA .

You get what you pay for I guess. By brother got himself a Motorola T720 which is also a "cheap" phone. I tried it out for a day and I think it's utter crap! The build quality is the worst I've seen yet, the menu is S L O W and the screen which is supposed to have 4096 colours actually takes a dive to the T68/T300 IMHO!!

But my lill-bro is happy with it and that's all that matters.
He traded in his 8310 for this one. The 8310 gave him nothing but trouble.

i made a opěnion of my own by reading the reviews and ur opinions-what's the price in ur country without subscription?

Posted by Raven
@701

I didn't intend to make fun of anyone. Sorry if you took my little writing there personally. The price of the T720 in my country without a contract is about $250-300 I think, and when I said "cheap" I meant comparred to the T68 etc...

Posted by ppcrockar
@jamiescott

Yeah, she had the GA628 for quite some time. But the battery was really bad now, so she changed to a T300.

But my father still uses his old GH388, which he is really satisfied with. I've tried to make him upgrade but he doesn't. He says he will keep the 388 until it breaks. Which it probably never will... that is a high quality phone

Posted by jamiescott
Yeah they were pretty stable back in the day (apart from the first few shipments of the GA628 as most of them were made from older recycled phones) I've still got most of the phones that my family have had throughout the years, although I haven't looked at them recently, I remember my sister had a Vibrating flip phone back in about 95/96 it was really quite poor...

I have a T300, a DBA-10, MCA-25, Jabra Freespeak and Chatboard.
I have previously owned in the past 2 years a T68i, T68, PocketPC Phone Edition, Samsung Q105, T28 World. I have to say that the T300 is a GREAT entry level phone. Beautiful sound quality, easy to use, color screen, downloadable games, the best reception in an SE phone since the R520, and MMS to boot, all for under $100 with T-Mobile USA. The T68i was almost a great phone, it would have been perfect if it had good reception....a fault that I could not live with!

Anyway, from a power phone user, this entry level phone is a refreshing breath of fresh air from a market flooded with black and white, featureless entry level phones!

Posted by potok
someone said minimalistic design?!?!?!? how about Siemens S40, that is minimalistic design....
This phone is great idea went really bad. No memory for games, but 1st SE where you can download games. Colorful interchangable covers, but noone is selling them.

...trying to change channels on TV with that damn green marble, nope not working ....

Posted by c96sthl
i thought you can get games in wap.sonyericsson.com

there have 9 games loaded in the site waiting for you to download them.

maybe http://www.mophun.com will have games to download for T300 soon as they do offer emulator for PC user now (they are the maker of T300 games)...it seem the game size is very small and therefore you find T300 have limited memory.

Like someone posted before, even Nokia will not have their faceplate available immediately after Launch....ya tht's by Fulat68

You never find Nokia 6510 and 3350 face plate immediately after it is launched.
