After download from here: http://www.sonyericsson.com/d[....]te_Service_Setup-2.7.6.8-1.exe start the installer with RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR option and in Win XP SP2 compatibility mode.

Important:
After the installation finished, restart your system and do the same when first opening the SEUS.
Works perfect for me!

after you have downloaded the setup file, right click on it, go to properties, then to compatability, tick the options "run this program in compatability for" and "run this program as an administrator"
do the same after the setup file has installed

I did as per ur instruction but it is telling software not supported by vista.

hi,
I've tried the process again and again but in vain. my system is not allowing the application to be installed and i think that the compatibility option can be selected only after the application is installed. In my case the installation itself is not happening. pls help.
