Second question, is there a driver to make the pictures look more T650-like? So less noise reduction, more details, more noise. I like the pictures better that way.

I added the original camdriver from my K810 R8BA024 firmware, but i think its the same as K800i 2.5 camdriver.
You can change alot in the camdriver, sharpness, color etc. im not good at modding driver so ill leav that to the pros to answer.
I read that T650 has the same camera as K800/K810? If thats true it cant be much of a difference.. maybe just on the driver level?
(Correction: The camera is not the same as K800, it has a other cameramodule.)
And then if someone has the code to put in the driver to turn Whitebalance off i would be grateful.

Different phone modells have different names, such as Wilma(K800), Evita(K790), Cyndia(W850)..

@ DeKosta
#COM_EVENT(11,80) is WB-OFF
@Merkie2
accoding to number1 I think that his driver ist the one for you
what I understand is that he uses the WB-OFF because this should also help reducing the K800 noise reduction system.

You guys are awesome.

3rd question, how do I upload the camdriver without using XS++? I read that it's possible to upload the camera driver while the phone is turned on, so I don't have to reboot everytime I change the driver.

if yes u can do this with bluetooth - just delete other/se/camera/camdriver0.dat and upload the new.

I think it's more dark
your pics look fine to me, the exposure looks well balanced to me you have details in the sky & ground which is difficult for the k800i to do due to a small lens.

patch is very good solution if you want to change drivers often. if not then FAR is better
BTW. if someone is interested i have working 'move camdriver to other' patch for R1KG001

40 fps?? genus modded a cam driver with 40 fps??

.....the exposure looks well balanced to me you have details in the sky & ground which is difficult for the k800i to do due to a small lens....
Thats exactly the point why I'm looking for HDR with that driver.
I have to find out, where exactly in the driver the bestpic shot takes place.
I see that each shot of the 9 is saved seperately in an increased numbering REG.
If we could just input a logic that bestpics are shot in the order
EV (06,x) --> (06,x+2) --> (06,x-2) a small HDR row would be the result....
Anybody thought about implementing that ?

i already have a hdr java app if you want it.
Posted by pietropizzi
YES PLEASE !
I did't know that already jar's exist that manage the K800i camera.
I saw some code-snippets on SE developement but never a ready made application !

R1KG001 camdriver to other patch can be found here: raider.4shared.com
driver improvements? yes, i have something but i also have long list of things to do, that's why is to early to release anything. right now i'm focused on functionality, quality improvements too but as minor things

HDR with BestPic? good idea. in theory (when i looked in code) this is very easy to do, in practice i don't know. anyway, this feature is on my things to do list right now

Oh, it does (in Other). But the app doesn't merge the pictures.

LOL pietropizzi really a brilliant idea
I was thinking on increase the number of pics taken by BestPic to, let's say 24 or 32 to catch full moments by photograms, but this depens on free RAM memory

Is ISO100 the lowest we possibly can go with K800?
Or are there ways to force lower?

Yeah it would be fun to try, i dont really understand the code good enough to know what to change..
Maybe something in one of these:
***
#SET_REG(40,01) // AE_XENON_ISO = 100
***
seq_set_prop_11_1 = $"Iso_100"
$s8 01
#SET_REG(2a,01)
#COM_EVENT(02,04); // ISO 100
seq_set_prop_11_2 = $s8 04
***
I dont know.. it would be great if someone who knows the code good would post some nice info on this!
Edit: I was just reading another thread and the noise reduction program came up.. can we turn that off some way?
Have we tried that and what is the results?

It`s easy - just copy whole "Focus operation, property 10" from Ultimate to Genus 6.0

Genus where are you. Wher's your new camdriver?

Hi,
Sorry if some body has brought this up before. This is an exciting thread but it is too long to read. Is there any tweak in the cam driver that we can perform the following:
1) Manual focusing? Sometime it would be useful to focus manually.
2) Force the flash light to be on, instead of using Automatic setting. This is especially useful when taking photo against bright background.
3) Set the desire ISO. Currently, it is all put as different scene, and it is quite tedious to select the correct scene.
4) Enable us to enable or disable the shake reduction.
Thanks.

1) Yes. Look a 1-3 pages back
2) You can force the flash to be always on. There are some drivers that have this, however I can't remember right now a driver that has this. Maybe somebody else can help you.
3) Afaik, it's partially possible, however the phone doesn't always use the forced value.
4) Not possible, the camera crashes when you try to take a picture.

Picture of moon at night with K810 @ Modmix, 2 sec exposure:
Picture with Nikon Coolpix E4600 in same conditions:
the K810 pic looks better and has less noise, lol
Picture of horizon with K790 @ Modmix, 2 sec exposure:
Same picture after applying Auto Levels/Contrast and Noise Ninja:
Just think if Sony had implemented this kind of noise reduction in the firmware, we would have crystal clear pictures.
