The camera module is okay for the phone. Sometimes the weather and the time of day can also be a factor when you're trying to differentiate the pictures.

this driver have errors. for example he says "#WB_ISO200" and the command is nowhere...
thats my 2.82 with 2 changes made that will make no difference anyway it's basically just a rip-off of my 2.82

i have combined kop3.6 final with 00 sharpness and number 1's 2.88 VR settings.. it has smoother video recording and no zoom bug...

my 3,6mod in 1rst page it have a default video rec from stock2.5 driver. And don't have a zoom bug

Not happy! I don't like them drivers at all, it comes out all distorted and there are different coloured spots everywhere. 3.6
I used to use some older ones and they had the zoom bug and they were absolutely fine, wish I had them backed up.

dude u're lame! Show me any picture with the originals better than modded ones. A picture needs LIGHT and LENS. SE k800 has "none"; small and bad quality lens and quite poor lighting. Test the drivers outside!!!! where's plenty of light. there is nothing to do with the k800s night and low light shots mode. xenon flash is small. wait for the k850i or the next one (k860i?). hope for better lens and larger xenon flash.

Beavis or Butthead, K850 is Cyber Shot 5mpx camera. Carl Zeiss is not a factor for a good camera.

dude lens are the "key" in photography. K800 has poor quality lens (+sensor). We at college use carl zeiss jena optics. I can tell the difference between a noname optics, and jena lens. Optics ARE very important in cameras. (the material, the shape, the transparency, the cleanness, etc. of the lens). Nokia makes good pictures thanks to the lens.
P.S. Carl Zeiss invented its lens back in early 1840. (shaped them and all).
Even in 2007 we use them in microscopes, binoculars, etc. They are good quality lens, made with care and precision.

K850 is NOT a 5mpx Cybershot! Its a tiny cheap nice CMOS sensor... not CCD from sony

Everyone can see the diferent and quality of all pictures maded with K800, K810 and new one K850 vs N73 and N95. The good camera needs more of one component. Sony is world's leader with or without Carl Ceizz. Pictures with your lovely "Ceizz" are not so clear and sharpness than K850. Fact! Why? Because it is not enough, dude! ofcourse lens are not everything!!! but they are the EYE of the camera. The driver is the soul. You can be blind and have a good soul, or eagleeye with a bad soul. Sony is not leader. Olympus is (and cannon). And sony uses vario-tessar lens in digital cameras. As you can see, n95 can take better pictures in low light than k850. K850i also has overexposure problems (like k810 original). cant remember the link, but there was a test with n95 vs k850i. sony had better colors, but overexposed and filtered with a white... net. like lens where dirty. N95 had better details. thats why sony announced that it will use zeiss optics in next cyber-shot. thats what i'm waiting for.
lets not forget about the new samsung. it cleans the floor with both nokia and sony phones.

would you choose a noname CMOS, or Carl Zeiss optics in next cyber shot phone?
Zeiss = quality (its a pity that nokia doen't use it at max - no good driver)

Oh, yeah, and...you *should* buy that 8 Mp cam-phone from Samsung. It'll break about twice a month, like all Samsung phones do. Good luck wiping flors with SE&Nokia...
By the way, calling the K800 and the K850 crappy(or shitty - don't recall exactly) camera phones...is just not fair. Go for Samsung, man. Best of luck. You'll need plenty.

k850i had many tests and im not happy with it (hoped for more from a CYBER-SHOT!!! phone)
n95 still not happy with it. sharp pictures, good exposure, good in low light, but colors suck. Firmware should be fixed - loss of detail
g600 i saw 1!!! (one) test with it, and it was enough to see what it can do.
of course it can be better, but its enough for now.

I like sony ericsson a lot (even when simply ericsson). But its not enough for me (remember what the k750i did back in its times??- ravages!! killed all 2MPx phones, it was a standard <-every phone was compared to it "does it make better pix than the k750i, or not" - a true legend. i expected something like that). I just wanna point out my problem with the company (no offense, but nokia and samsung had 640x480/320x240 video since 1 year!! and SE only now) also in korea and japan (where technology is extremely advanced) ppl prefere samsung and nokia (more samsung). The phones that come to europe are only mid-end phones. There are many high tech phones that we dont know about. Sony needs to pull up its pants, and get some juice out of the new cyber shot, or it will fall out of the battle. its like nvidia vs ati or intel vs amd. AND (OMG i forgot the name) a famous digital camera company wants to enter in the battle in 2008. so its gonna be a rough year

n95 vs k810. AND plz compare pix to stock driver, as n95 is not tuned version. yes k800 can take better pictures, BUT with a modded camdriver. (what would happen if n95 could be modded?)

well I was talking about the comparison I made with the modded drivers to my N95.
resized the n95 images to 3.2mpx to compare then to a full resolution k800 images.
eventually,not only I,but even my friends had the same notion,that the k800 images (well ,yes,modded drivers) are better,in MOST cases... some low light conditions were better on the n95.
