I have a dilemma guys, tomorrow I move flats, however I am still waiting on a phone being delivered to the one I am leaving.
The phone was posted 2 weeks ago from France (seller claims) and I thoughtt it would have arrived by now. However if it does not turn up tomorrow then I do not know what to do.
The new flat is nearby which is not a problem, however I have been informed that the old flat will be renovated after I move out, so it will not have new owners, but builders will be working in it most days.
The question is, what to do? Should I speak to post office and try going to depot to try find my phone once i have left, call letting agency/landlord, or just pop round when the builders are in one day next week?
Just such a hassel I did not need right now, any ideas would be much appreciated!

I always setup a mail redirection for 3 months when I move but you no longer have the time for that (I think it needs to be setup a week in advance)
if it needs a signature it will be held at the post office for you to collect, also if no one is at the property.
probably best just to leave a note in the flat that if the postman comes with any mail for you to call you and leave you number for them and/or ask them to not accept it so that it is held at the PO

It could be delayed this end by all the postal strikes, I think there are rolling strikes in various areas till something like the 5th august, I've got parcels delayed too, very frustrating!

I've bought things off ebay like 2 weeks ago and some only arrived today such a pain, luckily it isn't anything expensive. I would leave a note with the builders and call round. Is it trackable at all, or not with being sent from France?
