I might try asking O2 that, at least I could then recover my K800i!

I recieved my replacement O2 sim today, though it's not activated yet, and still waiting on my K550i, bloody postal strikes!

@samboy - So you are NOT back at work still Looks like you left it on a weekend ?

Nooooooooooo!!!! The best phone has been lost. Go and call the guards now!

Sammy soory for your loss, the only I thing I can say is to ket the police know and they maybe able to trace it. Look for it in the night because the screen does flash. I f I were to lose mine my Dad would kill me LOL. It cost me £250

Sammy have 02 blocked the K800i's IMEI?

I mean if you end up finding after a week wouldn't that be a lucky thing :lolL
btw hope your phone arrives tomorrow

No Postal strikes here I don't think

Sadly I can't block the K800i as I hadn't made a note of it's imei number and didn't have the original box!

I've looked all over work Jojo, and asked if anyone's handed it in but no joy

Unless it's somewhere in my car or at home it looks like it's lost forever!

Though hopefully my K550i has arrived today at least!

cant you ask o2 to bar the phone that the sim was last used in (hopefully your k8)

Um.... I've just found it again!

O decided to do some clothes washing, and there's a basket of dried clothes that's been lying about in the utility room for the last week or so, so started sorting that out.

Buried in the middle of this clean washing was my K800i! I have absollutely no idea how it got there, as I didn't go near it! The only thing I can think is that when I searched the house just after 'losing' it it fell out of my pocket into that basket - or my wife thought it would be funny to play a joke on me and hide it there! It's a mystery!

Glad I didn't block it now - though have a dilemma as I have a K550i now as well, which phone to use?

You jammy bugger, Sam!

Glad you found it tho'; wish I had that kind of luck!

Posted by masseur
I don't believe a word of it!

... a bloke never goes near the utility room let alone a laundry basket except to make a deposit!

anyway, its great that you found it!

Posted by Sammy_boy
I don't know whether to be annoyed or overjoyed! Think I'm a bit of both at the moment, though glad that my phone, and certainly it's content hasn't fallen into the wrong hands!

Im glad you found it Sammy_boy

now if i was you, i would go back to using the k8 now you've found it!

When somthing goes missing, they have a way of comming back to us!

What are you gonna use now, the k800 again?

Posted by Sammy_boy
Hmmm, don't know - might continue using the K550i for the time being as it's a nice light and fairly slim phone, but I'm certainly not planning to sell the K800i!

@sammy: happy to hear you found it!

Glad I've gotten it back, it is a big relief, Thanks for the support everyone!

Phoned O2 this morning as my replacement contract sim wasn't working, apparently they'd forgotten to get it activated! Muppets! It should be working again within the next 24 hours though.

Thats great boet!! @ Sammy, IM HAPPY FOR YOU MAN! jeeesh ur lucky!

@samboy - Now be extra careful with your K550 mate . . . as they say, LIGHTNING strikes - twice !

Posted by Sammy_boy
My O2 contract sim is now working again, the dozy woman at O2 assured my I could keep the phone on and the sim would be activated, but I had to turn the thing off then back on again for it to work!

All's well that ends well though - I've gotten away with the extra spending so far (put something on Ebay to compensate) but I have been very naughty and bought kk.226's iPod video off him, which I really shouldn't have done but was feeling a bit impulsive - needed a large capacity iPod anyway! It went on the credit card, but think I really should dig a few more bits out to sell to compensate!

Lol, best not tell her that when feeling a bit impulsive (Which happens a bit more than it could get me in debt trouble if I'm not careful!) I bought an iPod Video off on of the traders here! Got a good price for it though, and a few extras!

I lost mine on Friday Morning on Jumeriah beach, Dubai.

It had All my holiday photos on it.. about 1100 of them!

Now that I've lost all the photos, my last 2 months of holidays seem a total waste of time and money!

Posted by Sammy_boy
Oh dear, sorry to hear that, know exactly how you feel!

Often it's not necessarily the loss of the phone but the loss of the content on it

Posted by Miss UK
Sammy im sure she always has huge impulses to g, Shoes, Handbags lol
you will get away with im for certain

Rule B Didn't you have your Digital Camera with you?
I toake myphone for the few odd shots but I take a proper camera too whilst on holidays

Posted by rule_breaker
I didn't think I'd need a digital camera as I thought my k800 was good enough for the photos I was taking. I had actually sat down the night before to transfer the photos onto another device but some friends came over and I only managed to transfer 1 photo

I had specially paid the taxi £60 to take me to burj al Arab for photos the day before I lost my phone. I didn't even have a working sim card in the phone so I lost any hopes of getting it back.

Darm so your holiday was messed up,
but still atleast you haven't lost you memory you can still imagine

Next time just take a camera with you too forget the phones use it as a calling device only
