Yes, it can be done with PC Suite 5
You can even retouch images!
The program is called Nokia Image Converter.

Yes, It copies phonebook and setting etc.

It isn't possible with the standard nokia datasuite, but I've found a 3rd party program (bought it for 20 euros) which let's you browse the phones memory. So now I can finally download pics from phone to PC.
