wifi interference - Esato archive

Hi,
i recently started using a wifi router which is ok the only problem is the signal causes interfearence when i use my video sender to send my sky tv signal to my daughters tv
Is there some sort of filter i can fit to either the tv sender or my pc to stop this.
Dont really want to pay another sky multi room fee if possible

your router should allow you to change channel you could try that to see if that helps. without knowing the router i can tell you were to find it but in a netgear one (since you mention sky and they use netgear as there free one) you type 192.168.0.1 into a web browser then put in your username and password.
then click on wireless setting and look in the middle of the screen for channel there will be a drop down box and just pick any channel and see if it makes a diffrence might not but its free so worth a try

wifi routers are notorious for interfering with video senders and its pretty much why I don't use the senders

in australia we are allowed to use the 2.4ghz and 5.6ghz frequencies which make this mix a bit easier

not sure how it is in uk though
