I was looking to buy a new memory card for my k800i. I've seen on play.com that the Sony 1GB M2 card is £15 which is pretty good, but I've heard Sony will be releasing a 2GB version. Does anyone know when this will be out in the UK. I had a quick look on google but couldn't find out. play.com say 01/08/2008 but I figured this has got to be wrong. Thanks.

2gb have been out for ages. actually we're all getting 4gb now. see the following thread

There's nowt wrong with Sandisk memory cards, just as good as the Sony ones.

the only reason I ask is because they are all made in the same factories so why not get the cheaper ones?

I've heard the sony ones are better but i bet you know more about it than me. i would still like to know when the sony 2gb one is out here though.
