Welcome to esato spongebob, hotel sure looks nice, bit pricey probably lol

Wasn't this recently declared as the tallest in the world aswell??
Posted by PeterKay
No, its not that tall, been there myself.
Dubai are creating or have created a new building which will be the tallest.

I've been to the Burj too
and the Jumeriah Beach hotel.. the accompanying hotel that looks like a wave, whereas the Burj is a sail...
Posted by >500
that hotel shown has a tennis court on the top correct? remember seeing it in the paper where Federer was playing some one or something.
and afaik, tallest hotel is in Thailand, any one confirm that? i did go there a few yrs back, was the tallest then, quite scary up top

@>5000 no that match was just a publicity thing it actually is a heli-pad.
And I guess its not too hard to get it past the city council if you want to. The city council obviousely knows the height but won't tell anyone.
Posted by deepsme
Oh yeah burj dubai..just got confused with the names...btw for guys who've been to dubai..hows the temperature over there? too hot,too cold
and is the city expensive like london and all??
Posted by >500
ahhh, yeah i know there is a helipad there, saw it on Emirates Airline commercial.
would have been risky playing on that court, too bad if you fell off
Posted by kk.226
Don't think it was ever the tallest building... But I think the tallest Hotel.
My aunt and uncle stayed there for their anniversary... cost about £3,000 for the night.

has anyone seen the pics of Tiger Woods hitting a golf ball off the top and also Andre Agassi serivng a ball off the heli pad?

defo is worth the price...
defo defo..
pillow menu, own butler, I'd go back again
also.. can we make completely sure we all get the difference..
Burj Al Arab - The worlds only 7 star hotel, looks like a sail.
Burj Dubai - going to be the tallest building in the world, also... the height in undisclosed as it means they can keep making it taller to ensure it is the tallest in the world
also.......
the Burj Dubai won't be around nothing, it's being built in downtown Dubai close to Bur Dubai where all the hotels are, it's not going to be that far from the Emirates shopping mall or the Ibn Batutta mall either...

Doha have announced that they'll be building a taller building soon
on a side note:
You can get cheap deals with great service on Qatar Airways to Dubai.
(Travelocity and other price comparison sites don't seem to show the real deals)
Go to http://www.qatarairways.com to check.
edit: Oh and people have been talking about the Palm in Dubai, but don't forget Qatar has 'The Pearl'

What exactly do you get in with the price for £600 a night?
It does look nice, but that is a lot of money.

lol the pics of the tennis look cool. But what happens if you hit the ball of it? lol if I was playing the game would last a minute, not because of my brilliance at the sport ofcourse
I so wish we get a daredevil who rides a motorcycle of that tennis bit!
Posted by amnesia
that's not really a tennis court, it's a helipad. It was converted to a tennis court temporarily for the publicity shots.
Posted by amnesia
I just noticed that Doha tower is not in that picture of skyscrapers.
It's 570 meters. that's 1870 feet (makes it the second highest)
Posted by JK
Isnt there a Mubaruk "Kabir" hotel thats the highest??
Lemme google!
