If you read that thread were it was taken from, you will see that Esato was around before SonyEricsson so then either Laffen works for SE and knew well before of they merged or ......

The official date was 1st October 2001 but it think it was on the cards for a while before that, it was in discussions for a long time.
I'm not sure even Laffen knows how he got the name
Maybe its an anagram of some norwegian word that means something to him that only he knows.

Nah, the name was chosen because the domain name was still available when laffen wanted to startup.
And Only Trust a Sony Ericsson is what they call a reverse-'backcronym'. Not 'back' because it's reversed, but because according to wikipedia, it's an acronym that was formed around the original word.

Yep I realise that, and infact the Laffen backcronym was Only Take A Sony Ericsson. Someone else came up with "trust" (forget who)
