I've seen the real thing and I actually think the black one looks better, but it's just my own opinion of course. I guess it all boils down to your personal preference.

yes i know, qound quality is top notch i hear, ive always believed sony has had best quality with music players.
im not not worried about it only being 8gb, ive got my phone to with either 2 or 4gb so its plenty. the headphones supplied are the sony ex-82. they are a good set considering what other mp3 players of similar price come with, but i will sell them (if any one wants them, pm me
) i bought some jays d-jays....
i like the black and white, so not worried which i get. as i said though, no one will have the white here as its not out yet. and the headphones will go better with them

@>500, if I'd seen your request earlier, I'd have been able to take a pic of them side-by-side. Anyway, I believe the earphones that come with them are the ex85s, not ex82s, unless there's a different model number for those we have here. I won't be working for the next two days, so I won't be able to help you with the live pics, sorry about that. Still think the black one's nicer. And I think we all agree that the sound quality's great.

hmm, i like both black and white, biolet isnt bad too, neither is pink, but a bit girly

Hmm... @>500, you may be right about the earphones bundled with the A808 over at your side. Over here in Singapore though, I'm quite certain ours is bundled with the ex85s.

btw, ive got 2 things coming from japan via EMS, so, express. But when i track them, its had the same thing for like 2 days, 'processed for dispatch'. Ones in Osaka, the other Tokyo. How often do they do international post flights there
im curious as to when the tracking number details is going to say..... shipped..... any one had experience with EMS service from Japan? when i get ems from hk, only takes 3 days.

impulse buy i guess. i never planned to use an mp3 player, only my phone. i started reading some headphone/mp3 player forums looking for headphone reccommendations for my phone, and they have got me wanting one. guess its like what Esato done to me with phone

Hmm... It may have been an impulse buy, but at the price you got it for, I don't think you'll regret buying it later. Besides, if it's as good as the other Sony mp3 players I've had, I think you'll have a great time using it.

but it seems more people are happy with this sony, and sony in general.
Ive been reading plenty of reviews on it, and reading forums such as Head-Fi, Atrac Forum etc. Doesnt seem to be many negatives with the nw-a808.
Although the zune has a bigger capacity (8gb is enough for me though tbh) its size puts me off. Id rather a smaller more compact player, and of course im willing to sacraifice a few gb's. Hence my decision for the sony. And its equaliser is fully customisable!
And of course, Sony is believed to have had the best sound quality for quite some time now, from their music products ive used, i dont doubt that for a minute.
I hope i get this tomorrow, tuesday at latest, will post a little review on it then. Ill have the stock headphones too try, so can test it as a standard player out of the box, and have my jays d-jays coming too, so quality should be a bit different with them too. Better than the stocks i hope.

Really tempted by a Zune tbh and they can be had for around £140 brand new...... My mates got one and they really are good just the design is a bit unimaginative.... Whereas the Sony really does look something

waiting for it to charge up. feels very well built, well balanced weight wise, feels great in the hand. Made of quality materials, not plastic, its metal nice size too!
also got my headphones, they go well together

well all good so far. Excellent sound quality, fantastic screen. Got my new headphones fitting perfectly now, sounds great.
Volume is extremely loud,ears ring when listen at full volume in a quiet place, but its ok when in noisy areas.

My case
my god Sony accessories are expensive, even for a silicon case, got this for $10aud, made from cord material (like the cord pants) does the job....
My Jays d-Jays headphones (excellent set of earphones
, nice looking too, matches the sony perfectly)
And the box, box is very small (tad smaller than the other recent Sony players, the little ones which come in like 4 colours)
sorry about the quality, hands were a little shaky at times, and bad lighting, will take some new ones when its day time
oh, the phone pictured is the Nokia 3110 classic. Friend from Thailand gave it to me as a gift the other day....

and going by my past Sony music player experiences, i had not been dissapointed with them at all, so the choice was easy really. I find this better looking too
all the audiophile sites ive read, all the reviews ive read online etc etc, say this is one of the best players on the market. And, most of them say Ipod sound is one of the worst, well average any way. I have my sisters new 30gb ipod video here, the Sony sounds so much better tbh.
It might have a high price, but it does come with $100aud+ headphones in box, and is made from very good materials. If only there was one with more memory, i dont mind though, 8gb is plenty

Very nice matey, i think i am plumping for a Zune though, purely because of the fact it has more storage.... And because of its superior screen and also because of the fact its very reasonably priced.....

I have indeed looks ok not to sure about the Halo style design on the actual Zune,what is good though is the mountains of preloaded content you get with it.... Not that much more expensive than a normal Zune either only about £50 more......
Be cool if you could flash your regular Zune with Halo 3 Zune f/w so to speak to get all the extra stuff

I've bought me a Zune..... Brand New Sealed.... £129.99 although its not the colour i intended on getting, this ones brown i wanted white but meh i could'nt be arfed till the shop on Ebay got whites in......
