Vodafone ALWAYS screws me over, but this time I called and said.
"I've been charged 5 pounds for a service, but two weeks ago you told me it was cancelled".
I waited, expecting to hear an excuse.
"Oh really? Sorry about that, 5 pounds has been credit back."
"Oh.. thanks! Also, I noticed I went over with my texts, what do you suggest I do? Will an add-on be cheaper?"
"No problem sir, I've added 150 texts to your price plan"
"How much will that be?"
"Nothing
"What? oh.. ok.. thanks very much"

I've always found that vodafone's customer service is good, they gave me a k800i unlock code for free whereas t-mobile have charged me £15

sometimes you get this mate.... it totally depends on the monkey that answers the phone (thats not to say all of them are monkeys, some are gerbles)... but anyway, nice one amnesia - glad it went your way...
I had a simular experience with orange the otehr day... phoned to get a new w810i (insurance) told them my data cable was broke and the guy credited my account by £30 - unbelievable - i didnt ask or nothing.....

...yep, I hate saying it, but vodafone here in Ireland have become almost "good" over the last 12 months or so! How do they do it
Posted by mosdelln
Maybe they have changed their Management, Employers to people who care for their customers???

yeah, well,... but their instore staff is still from the bottom of the ignorance pit (heard last week the k750 has a "2 megabyte camera", and the phone-memory is enough for 100-200 songs "depending on the type of music"

02 have never done anything good for me they're even saying I have to purchase a £15 Latching code for my D900i.. but I haven't and now ive entered a code from a forum and trashed the phone up!
Think they wanted to charge me £10 for a 3G sim card and a few weeks later I recieved a invoice saying £0.00p after it come!
I plan on leaving 02 at the end of the year so calling that Retentions crew should be quite funny they can either say good-riddance or stay

umm my k800i was on contract it was last week we asked for the unlock code they gave me it free..and i took out the contract in december

They stated to me, that if the phone was 12 months old, or if within a week or so, of being 12 months old they would do it for free, if not it was £20.
May depend on who you get on the end of the phone.

Hey not all Vodafone staff are unhelpful!
I pride myself on my great customer service!

Your right, not all are crap. But they do give the company a bad name.

well I spoke too soon
I was on the 35 pounds a month tarriff which has 250 texts.
I was looking at the statement and saw that I had used 243 texts and that the they had charged me 15 pounds for 143 of them.
So I called up and said, wait a moment, I'm paying for 250 texts why did I get charged extra?
After some checking, they had done a mistake, and the woman noticed and didn't want to refund me, so rather than admit that they gave me 100 free texts only rather than 250, she said "I'll give you 150 extra free". So it seems that she lied...
Long story short, 15 pounds was refunded (although it should be more because they should refund VAT too).
I was getting happy as well!
