Sad buggers! Its only a phone!

Oh and another thing, does the iPhone have a sim card slot or is it in bulit into the phone?

Posted by fatreg
must be interchangeable super....

fixed sims are so like 5 years ago!

Posted by Superluminova
Yeah but were does it go? i can't see a slot, there a apart on the top of the phone that could be it but i dunno?

So is anyone getting one shipped over?

Posted by axxxr
Actually i did hear that the iphones will have fixed sims!

No use in importing them unless you want to use one as a paperweight!

Posted by fatreg
or ipod axxxr....

doesn't the back cover come off??

Posted by axxxr
This is supposed to be the sim card slot!

Posted by fatreg
ahh no fixed sim

Posted by Nanu
Looks more like the back of an hbh-ds970 with the wires ripped out

Posted by Superluminova
I knew it! I bet it'll be a total bugger to unlock it mind you!

Apparantly not, athough i heard all the iphones will be permanantly locked to AT&T.

I think we should wait till the iphones are unleashed, someone somewhere should be able to unlock them? ...maybe those two guys in the front of the queue?

Posted by axxxr
Here's a interview with those two guys: WATCH

Posted by >500
im not sure they all will be locked. isnt it not usually network dependant???

other regions should differ to the american market....

Posted by axxxr
I wish i was in that queue!

Thing is, any one who is prepared to wait in a que for any poduct aint gonna be the kinda person who has many mates. No mates = no one to call. No one to call in this case means waste of money

Posted by batesie
would be nice to be able to afford to sit on my arse and do bugger all for a week! but wouldnt spend the time sitting day and night queuing for something thats probably a big waste of money and full of bugs!

It would be pretty ironic if the first guy on the line happened to be very rich and decides to buy all the iPhone stocks for that day. Hehehe....

I'll ask him one of his iPhones for free (he's very rich, remeber?) and gonna sell it here for trade with T650 or W960.

If you watch the video from apple website, you have to activate it via itunes and they show the process...so it might be a paper weight until you activate it, weather after its activated will it work with another network is the million dollar question couple of days to go we will surely find out.

First iPhone to be dropped

Posted by Superluminova
How the hell can he claim to have been the first person in "the world" to have dropped the iPhone?

Posted by axxxr
I don't think he's claming anything, its just me saying that!

Posted by Superluminova
No, no, no mate his buddy says it in part 3 of his iPhone videos

There are such crazy guys queuing for four days to buy a phone! Such craziness keeps the phone manufacturers busy disregarding the customers - promising something ideal and providing some crap. I am not saying iPhone is a crap - I am pointing to other manufacturers like SE. Though I was never attracted by iPhone I wish it a great success.

Posted by axxxr
Oh ok so it wasn't me then..i assumed wrong!

But i would guess not many people would have dropped there iphones?

Are there any Esato users in the USA planning to buy the I-PHONE anytime this month? would love a lil I-PHONE ESATO USER REVIEW

Posted by p900 lover
So does anyone know weather the phone is locked or anything?

Posted by axxxr
As far as we know its locked...just waiting to find out if someone can unlock it?

Posted by p900 lover
Ok i see, because i was looking on the US apple site and you can get them there but delivered to an address in the states. So if i was to get one it would just be the $500/$600?

I wouldn't have to sign up to any contract from the networks

Posted by axxxr
Yeh but it will be locked to a AT&T, so unless you can get unlocked/sim-free its a paperweight.

Posted by p900 lover
So now the question is weather or not it will be able to get it unlocked, i really want one now, and its not that badly priced, im sure when it comes to the Uk it will be more expensive.

Posted by axxxr
Yes indeed, The U.K version will be of a much better spec, 3G for starters.

I would wait till monday for some official news on the european release of the iphone to get a much better picture of what we will be getting.

Posted by DragonEye
guys.. iphone uses a sim card that can be removed... but you have to activate the phone with itunes before it can be used...

also it will be unlockable via code...which i have a few people saying they can get in 24 hours for a fee... but i'm stilling waiting to get my hands on a locked iphone...

Posted by axxxr
Well do please let us know if you can get it unlocked?

i'm hearing more chaos now... the iphone is built of the same principles as a sidekick... everything has to be preregistered to work so unlocking is only half the battle... i'm still digging info... but i don't think a lot will be cleared up till the dust settles..

Posted by GUCCI.011
WOW thats hectic, why do they have to go through so much when geting a new SIDEKICK or I-PHONE? so does this mean most ppl who bought the i-phone this weekend are busy holding paperweights or what?
