Posted by obakesan
ya. its nice yet too plain without some walkman branding or logo on it. say compared to hpm-82. also I bet you this too does not have a darn clip, why oh why cant manufactuers put a clip on these things. I am amazed they put a clip on the new bt one though.
interesting too is I bet the display is e-ink / e-paper technology
ok. it is an oled screen... lol. helps when read these things.

Really really nice and cool design
Posted by shaliron
Nice, simple and understated design. But strange that it doesn't have
branding.
Maybe it'll come with the K850?
Posted by _otshelnik_
maybe Walkman logo is on the other said?
Posted by tranced
dont think it is in the other side. i think this means that this headphones would come with any
phone.
Posted by abbafan1972
What models is this compatible with? You could take the clip off another headset.

these will come with the new k850 *Cyber-Shot* so i dont think it will be walkman branded

Really? Sounds cool. Where'd you hear that?

Cool. WTF cares about the Walkman "branding".

This one is great. I like the functions of the remote control
Posted by belialwafu
this is ok.....simple and if a hold upper see's that he may say "Oh he's cheap look at his MP3 player made in china"
Posted by londonlad123
These are great and I like that there's no walkman logos.
Can't find the hold button anywhere.
Release date?
Posted by obakesan
seems this is available now? At least here anyway:

i believe its also available at expansys
Posted by aldrinus
neodymium magnet units?
i wonder what the HPM-70 that came with my W810 specifications are... anyone? this HPM-90 looks exactly like the 70 (minus the remote control unit, of course).
i'm satisfied with the 70 and they're great once you get the "perfect" fit in your ears. this HPM-90 though is indeed "handsfree" due to the remote control unit. what's noticeable is the absence of the Walkman branding...

I like the design, reminds me of the old sony cd player remotes. Is it compatible with the K810?

Yes mate

Thanks! The Sony Ericsson sites are confusing. It's got different compatibility in each region.. Is it available in the US? Or where could I get it here in Asia?
Posted by aldrinus
@elx:
from where are you, mate?
in the Philippines, any SE accessory and of course the phones themselves could be easily found at Semicon stores...
Posted by Elx
Yhup! Really? I usually go to Sony Ericsson Stores or AV Surfer.

@elx:
welcome to esato, kababayan!
you would also notice that often Semicon prices are lower than the rest plus you get an assurance that what you are getting is indeed genuine SE merchandise.
been a loyal customer for more than five years already. its just unfortunate that they moved out their branch here in our city
anyway, enjoy Esato... cheers!

I like that idea mate!
It's even nicer if nokia users found a person using that headset and call it cheap, then suddenly the bashed person takes his W960/K850 out of his pocket...

Really... I didn't know that. Semicon isn't very far from where I am. I'll see.... Ingat pa kasi sa paglabas-labas ngayon....

I was in the SE store the other day and asked about it. I don't think the guy really knew what he was talking about. He said "What, this one?" and I said no.. the HPM-90.. not a bluetooth headset.
I asked him about price and release date and he had no idea. He did say "It'll be expensive though"
I asked "how expensive.. £50-60?"
He said "Oh... no not that much, maybe about £30."

i wouldnt believe the salesman
unless he checked on the computer......
Posted by aldrinus
its seems to be always the case among phone retail shops all around the world... sales people with little (or worse, none at all!) knowledge of the things they are selling
"customers are always right," so they say.
nowadays, customers are even well-informed, ahem, just like us
if only these shops could pay me more than i earn, then i shall be very willing to become an SE phone sales person lol
peace... cheers!

Are these things for sale yet or what?
k850's lack of play button is KILLING me!
Posted by Webalistic
Yup they're available. Got one in the mail this morning (bought from ebay uk)
Just stupid that the OLED bit only takes up half of the 'screen'.
And the volume buttons are a bit hard to press.
Other than that it works fine with the K850 and there's a lot more bass than in my DS970.

Hi all,
I have these headphones on the K850i, they're not bad, although I use my own Sony Headphones and not the ones that came with the set, sometimes you have to push the buttons a bit harder to skip tracks/play etc, but they do come in handy for the lack of play button on the 850.
Posted by Arkel
Will it work with the K800i? It is not mentioned on the SE website in the compatible list, but on some shop websites they say it is....
Posted by $herry
wow..i like them
Posted by abbafan1972
these are for sale at Play.com for £39.99, mentions K800i but not K810i on the compatible list.
Oops, they are available for pre-order. They are released on 27th Nov.

Can we change or tune stations of FM thru this ?

I quite fancy a pair of these!
It does mention the K810i as a compatible phone. I used to have a similar headset for a Nokia phone I had sometime ago and that used to skip through radio stations. Although this isn't mentioned on Play.com either.
* Compatibility:
* Sony Ericsson J230i K310i K550i K618 K790i K800i K850i M600i P990i V630i W300i W580i W610i W660i W700i W710i W810i W850i W880i W900i W910i W950i W960i Z550i Z710i D750i K320i K530i K610i K750i K810i P1i S500i T650i W550i W800 W830i Z520i Z530i Z610i

Would have to use my own headphones for these as I don't like the earbuds.
