After reading the story about someone in Sweden finding a P1i in the street, was just wondering if anyone else has found a phone in the street, on the bus, in a taxi... in fact anywhere!

A friend of mine recently found a W810i, it had been blocked but otherwise in full working order, she's decided to keep it.... I've never found a phone, not even a battered old 3310!

So, what have you found or indeed lost - and what did you do with it - did you hand it in, or decide to keep it for yourself, or did you get it back again if you lost it? And did it get blocked? I'm just curious really!

I have never found a phone but i did honestly once a good few years back now 150 quid rolled up in paper in a Birmingham street. Could not believe what i was seeing i looked all around me but it was quiet. It was raining so i had to dry it out. WOW. Could have put it towards a new phone. Lol.

Well this is quite impossible for some here . . I mean specially to those who lives in POOR-countries. Because I'm sure (for some) before you sees it, someone else already did

If we are to include DUMMY-fones here . . . well, I've seen many !

I've found a phone in a bus, and I've returned it. It was some cheap low-end Motorola, I think it was this one Motorola C113.

I sure have. Was walking to my mum's house one day and saw a car drive past then heard a strange crunching noise. Looked on the road and saw a battered looking Nokia (can't remember the model) which I was amazed to see still working.

Being the honest chap I am I phoned the last number that had called it and the person (a friend of the owner) was very grateful that I'd done so. The owner had left the phone on their car roof and driven off!

Arranged to meet the owner and returned the phone.

I found a nokia just the other day on da bus. It was locked to optus and was read with no colour display OMG and i thought why the hell would i want this phone why would the owner want this phone. any way i did the right thing and said "Hey Has Any One Lost A Phone" Then a little school girl said "Oh its mine can i have it back please". I belived her and handed her the phone.

The End lol

Nice to see there are still a lot of honest people out there, most of you sound like you returned the phones you found!

Though I'd be seriously tempted to keep it (depending on what phone it was), I guess I'd still hand it in/return it to it's rightful owner!

Never found one myself.

Though i would probably hand it in whatever the situation, mainly because i remember losing my phone a few years back. Was a Siemens MT50 and i had been on my bike, must of fallen out of my hoodie pocket, did'nt realise till i was home. Few hours later got a call and it was the local police station, someone had handed it in So i'd like to think i'd do the same.

Good point Scottt, a view from the 'other' side, having lost a phone.

Think I should ask that too - has anyone lost a phone - and did you get it back again, like Scottt?

when i was in an unlocking shop near me to get my old k700i unlocked, a bloke walked in with a 6230 (it was in a bad state eg cracked lcd, battered casing and i think it just about turned on! ) and wanted it unlocked. by the looks and sound of it, it looked like he had just found it

the shop couldn't unlock my k700i without doing it via testpoint, so i went to another shop up the road and they did it via cable. i bet they could of done the 6230 if it wasnt blocked!

found 4 phones in my life, returned 3 to their rightful owners
the other one nobody claimed and I tried to hand it in to the shop but they said they didn't want responsibility.

(kept it but it was faulty since it would switch off now and then).
It was the Nokia Kit Kat phone.

Gave it to a friend who needed it.

oh I lost mine because it fell out of my pocket as the bus was climbing up the hill. I never got mine back either, but thank god I was using my old Samsung Cell Phone (so old I don't even know the model number) as my Z610i was charging HAHA

I found a Japanese NttDoCoMo phone before on the bus. Wanted to use it, but I couldn't change the language, didn't have the charger, no company who made it, AND it didn't have a SIM card slot. I returned it to the Lost and Found in the end.
