heres a bit of a problem for u.
on firefox, for some odd reason i cant load up ebay or google or yahoo. i get a error on google, i can load up ebays homepage but then get errors, and on yahoo no pictures load up. (errors are just this page can not be displayed, make sure you have typed the name right ect)
i am on a wired network that every other computer on the network will load the other pages fine, i have uninstalled all the add-ons on my firefox just incase! but nope still wont load. every other page loads fine!
BTW i have tryed this on IE7 and its the same! its really odd!

I had a somewhat similar problem but i was on vista and after racking my brain on all kinds of firewall and router settings to no avail i finally figured out that it had somwthing to do with my onboard lan drivers which i had updated. Rolled back to the older drivers and all was good
Could be something along those lines for you too.
