Nice piccies....and comparison....

I prefer K810's design

Thanks for postin'

Posted by goldenface
Yes, thanks.

Two quite different phones. I like the T though.

Posted by scottt
Like the T but unsure on that Keypad and the back is a little plain....

Posted by MWEB
Yeah not sure about those silly little buttons myself Scot, gives it a unique look over practical useage IMO.

Posted by QVGA
K810 looks far better, there isnt even a comparison. T650 IMO is just ugly looking compared to what SE has been coming up with lately.

Posted by goldenface
I was unsure about the buttons on the k810 until I played with them, all buttons take some getting used too.

Its best to reserve judgement and be nicely surprised.

One of life's optomist's, i like that!!

For once I'm unsure as to which is better. I've always loved (and still do) the k810i but have to say the t650 does look appealing to me.

Posted by brix25
It's always best once you get the actual phone in your hand.
Personally I the retro style of the T650...crisp and clear. It's not perfect but a promise of things to come from

Posted by abbafan1972
I don't like either phone. The buttons on the T610 are ridiculously small.

Posted by accyuklad
K810i better pictures tht and better colour

maybe because it's for people with small hands?

I like the KEYPAD-buttons on the K810i . . . and the manner the camera captures images . . .

Posted by soane28
looks like the T650 uses the same 3.2 megapixel cam as the P1.
Both phones look really fresh in design something that ive always liked about SE phones.

Nice comparison shots.

Posted by goldenface
Yes the T650 appeals to me more because of the design.

Pity it will be missing some camera functions compared to the K810i (bestpic for one) but I think I can live with that.

I am in love with the T650i

@goldenface

if you're in love with a mobile phone, then i'd say you have some problems

Posted by goldenface
@>500

I do have problems

As long as we don't try to make mini-phones together then all is cool.

Great show

I feel SE has done a good job by getting the four-way navigation key-pad rather then the prone-to-jam Joystick.....GOOD MOVE!!!

Also the metallic body and scratch-proof screen will make the T650i a big hit

Posted by QVGA
what about T650's video recording cap.?

Sure as!

It will feel great to hold - just like the W880i - small, weighty and well built. I also wanna see what this new mineral screen is all about.

Posted by >500
@qvga
video has not been confirmed yet. But have 'successfully' tested vga @30fps on the t650 and sofia.... guess it just comes down to what resolution the company execs choose.....

Posted by Nyb
@goldenface: i guess the mineral screen will be something like the scratch resistant one on the nokia 8800

I will tell u why Nokia is making a big mistake:

They have like fools abandoned the metallic form and gone plastic with the N95,a bad move from the built point of view and also from the enviroment point of view.

SE can do us a big favour by getting in strong metallic cell frames which are long-lasting and also re-cycleable,also they are very very sturdy giving the tough look.

you really have no idea what you're talking about, do you? N95 is already very expensive, adding metallic structure similar to 8800 would make its price go off the roof. And also, metal frames are not long lasting, they get scratched and bent easily no matter what you use. Plastic has been working for all manufacturers including SE and thats where they should stick.

Posted by mailboxmanoj
Nope u did not get my point..

N95 is expensive for its features, but a plastic body makes it no doubt very light but not good for ur daily use, also plastic has no ending u cannot destroy it...

Metallic frames are prone to scratches but they can minimise it by adding scratch proof mechanisms....

Anybody will tell you plastic is harmful for enviroment.

also there is going to be a big question of recycling phones once the Technology dies out...

it would have made the phone ridiculously expensive, its that simple.
why didnt SE make P1 full metallic? simply because it would then be too expensive.

Posted by mailboxmanoj
Thats OK.

It depends on what type of a person u are,I can compramise on a few features in my phone but would rather make it sturdy and tough from outside.

Posted by goldenface
Yes, I am looking forward to more metallic phones, a phone can be ruined by a having a cheap plastic casing and like you rightly pointed out, if they last longer then its probably better for environmental waste.

I wonder if we will see any other colours than Silver-metallic.

Posted by Aware
It's asking for a black version.....

Posted by deepu
SE know how to impress people with t650. blue version must look super fetching.

Wonders how would t800 look like?

Posted by goldenface
What the hell is a T800i ?

Oh, I thought I was missing something then. Its amazing how much can happen in a few short hours.

Regardless, it'll look good in any colour. I have the pounds burning a hole in my pocket for this gem.

It's a breath of fresh air to have an that doesn't rely on branding!
And my money(sat here 3 weeks now, Goldenface) says it'll be just as good as anything from them that is branded(ok, proto cam pics look dark, you can always change the drivers tho'... )....

Posted by goldenface
@Aware,

hopefully it will be just like the cam on the K8 but just missing some options from the UI.

It is bound to be more expensive in the shop in Kensington isn't it?

Any idea where it might appear on sale first?

Posted by Aware
If they do launch it in Kensington, obviously they can(will) charge more....
....assuming CPW or someone hasn't bought the whole first production batch(like they have Nokia 8600, for example), that is.....
Interestingly, the online shop has been quite 'fleecing', since it's inception.....but that appears to be changing(check some of the more recent model prices).......

just go there to improve the quality of photos and videos for your T650 and K770 (new driver)

T650i, all the way!!

The buttons really are perfect for heavy texters - they totally rock, very impressed!!

And the camera, well - its colour reproduction at latest FW is just spot on - well done Sony Ericsson, for producing such a top handset!

Posted by plankgatan
are not the buttons on T650 the same as K850 ???? they looks the same, (and feels the same)... only the color who is different.

and yes, i agree, the keypad is realy nice to type on
