Anyone have an Orange N95? Have orange done their usual buggering up of the phone ie disabling bits and pieces or have they left this one alone?
Thanks
Doug

Well i know for a fact they have disabled VOIP, though as its been said in many threads on here they are dead easy to debrand

I believe (the lost prophet) debranded one of those this very day, perhaps you should PM him, or he might see this anyway.

Indeed O-range branding Doug but 10 mins with a PC and you will have a nice de-branded handset...

Thanks for that. I have a link already to do it as soon as I get it. Unusual of Orange to allow this though.
This is my link:- http://clear-nokia.blogspot.c[....]okia-n95-debranding-guide.html
Anyone know of a better one?

yup i unbranded mine, very easy, tbh i only did it for quicker updates in the sw as the branding isnt that bad, was only start up/shut down and one theme. which is pretty good for orange

Any particular site's instructions you used? It does look simple, can't believe it!! Change the code, update, change the code back. Is that it?

Doug, that's also the site I used as a guide to debrand my Orange N95. Changing the code was quick & painless, and took all of 60 seconds. Updating took longer obviously, what with the 113-odd Mb firmware download!
I have to say, I was absolutely bricking it during the whole process - I got the phone in the morning, and in the afternoon I was flashing it! I needn't have worried though, the whole process was so simple. Go for it!
*Edit*
It's really nice not to have to pay 7 Euro every time I want to update my firmware early, and the Nokia software seems a bit easier to use than SEUS (personal experience; SEUS once bricked my SE W800).

Thanks Shane. I've been through the process before with other phones so not too worried although I have a question with NSS. What do I select from the service device list ie Virtual USB, F1 USB, Nemesis USB miulti function device, Diamond protection, ProdigyLPT device. I left it as the Virtual USB one.

That looks like an interesting bit of software. Does anyone know if there's one for the K810i?

There are loads of posts about flashing / debranding in the Sony Ericsson Software Forum. Why not try looking there?
