I have a T-Mo one, and it had vey little branding on it, but I wanted to update it, so I changed the product code and updated it via NUS, and now it is sweet, no branding, latest firmware and generally, much improved

Oh kewl so is it easy to update via Nokis update service? thats put my mind at ease if all the nasty t-mobile crap bogs off it..

I haven't got the link to hand, but you can get it from the Nokia site. Remember, you have to change the product code first, to a generic one.

Yeah, there is a guide somewhere, but for the life of me, I cannot remember where. You need to download NSS to change the product code and the use NUS to update.

Miss_UK = this your first S60 phone? If so you're gonna get hooked on the core system. Just the problem for me is I don't like Nokia's designs just yet and they don't add WiFi to flip phones like the N76.

It's my first yeah...
my mate bought a Nokia 6600 when it first came out so I knew what i was getting myself into
it has many odd functions like the barcode scanner why on earth
I cannot drive but that GPS will come in handy when my mate takes me out in the car i suppose
it has a revamped Snake game aka Snakes it's such a good handset...
the pictures seem brill to on what other people here have been posting

I have found that the N95 seems to pick up the settings automatically somehow. I haven't put a single setting in there for data/mms etc and yet when I switch between an orange sim card and a t-mobile, when I then want to connect, the only settings offered me are the ones for the sim card I am using (+wifi etc)
no idea how its doing that though and its the same on both N95 I currently have

I really need it unlocked!!! my v220 fell on the laminate floor now the screens gone blank tried opening it made it worse ive bust the lcd
looks like it's time for the bin for it...

there will be very very few people who can unlock these except for operators and a few specialists since unlocking bb5 is still very new (like a couple of weeks old)
I called t-mobile this afternoon just in case you were still having difficulties and they told me that if they could see activity of the IMEI to be unlocked on my account it *may* be possible for them to get an unlock code for me so my suggestion to you is to get a proper t-mobile payg sim and try and work it from that angle because I doubt, unless someone here has setup for the new unlocking, that you will have any other possibility

Massuer im using my Mobile world sim card in it (T-Mobile) opperated..
gonna use this as my main phone as my main 02 sim is outta a phone atm..
texts are 7p on it btw and you can ring worldwide countries for 5p per min..
I wanna set up GPRS for the £7.50 thing what T-Mobile do but i don't get whats up why it's not working..

I'm a patient guy (I do have a wife and 2 kids!) and I'm trying to help but...
1) you have nearly 4000 mobile related posts recorded and have been here nearly as long as me, but...
2) my username is masseur, not massuer and...
3) the link you have given is malformed though even if I try to correct it the page is not valid
4) the t-mobile thing is web'n'walk and...
5) if you can't get t-mobile to do anything and you are having problems with the cpw automated line then the obvious suggestion is to go into a cpw store and speak to a real person to get this working as no one here on Esato can activate the data for you
so can I please respectfully suggest that you do that tomorrow and report back on your success

first mission was I went to CPW a few weeks ago and they didn't have a clue..
they sent me packing to T-Mobile..
phoned them and they have said (Vice versa)
after reading something on the Mobile world page,
i think I may try it says you must make a call every 90's days using the sim to keep it going so this could be the reason, ive just put £10 on it and ive also emailed CPW directley
Yup been here a longtime quite a resourceful place even if I say so

and as it runs on T-Mobile even better for £7.50 GPRS and texts
would be a good contract but CPW they don't go there yet

. . . everytime you are posting an image of your fone on that very SAME 'wooden' table . . . there is always a small piece of thing (cloth most of the time) . . . underneath yourmobile phone . . .and it always comes with POUCH/casing or what . . . if I were yo, I'll get me a leather case for your N95 . . . not just plain-pouch . . . for max protection . . . say your N95 will be dropped on the floor or bein' run-over by a Dump Truck or what.
