Please let me know what you think of my new logo, that I have designed from scratch using pencil and paper, then scanned and edited using photo shop!
So any criticism, would be greatly appreciated as would any tips!

it's good but...
it doesn't to me say anything to do with joinery....
not that I've any better ideas!

i like the flames on the "wooden" style, its the element of a phoenix

Try to redesign the neck and the head of the bird to make it look stronger. And you may also try a more angular look overall.

Thanks guys much appreciated! Any more opinions?

I would agree with fatreg, it is a really good design, doesn't seem to represent joinery.

I think it is very good. I agree it doesn't show signs of joinery but that isn't really a problem I would say. I can imagine a large vinyl on the side/back of a van and it being very eye catching. As long as the words are clear there should be no problem.
Good work!

Thanks again!
I get the point made by Fatreg,
but other than the logo there is no other reference to joinery, so therefore the logo is getting the point across, no?
Mmmmmmmmmmmm....

Think the logo is not too bad to be honest!
It does stand out me thinks, if you were to place that logo on a business card or a van/car it would surely stand out.
The name, is it final ?

@nanu*1
like it, its different. I can imagine it looking good on the side of a white van.
Is the wooden pattern also representing flames?

i like it, very catchy... i think youve done a pretty good job there... the thing is with logos, you havent gotta fall in love with them, they have to catch your attention.
good work nanu*1!

@PeterKay,
Yes mate the name is final as I have been trading under it for 4 years!
@Goldenface,
The pattern is actually a photograph of flames but i have warped it using photo shop, and didn't actually notice it's resemblance to wood until boba pointed it out!
