Making a call using J300i as modem

Hi all
I am using J330i and DU-11 cable
At commands works fine
In the posts I got to know how to connect to the internet using cell phone

But what I really want is to dial a certain number from my cell phone
Like ATDT9960123455
But it says : NO CARRIER
I followe d the posts and when I dial *99* the phone shows connecting and after some time it says disconnected
Well I dont want to connect to internet but just want to dial to some number(02025704123)
Can some one help me in this
