Many phones don`t allow to upload games, pictures or melodies via cable, but only through WAP.
Also not everyone has data cable / infrared / bluetooth connection.
Wap uploader will help you to send the desired file to your mobile phone.

wap emulator enable you to see wap sites on your pc.

Posted by Kikos
I mean you can use Opera Browser on your PC to view wap pages.

Ya buddy, you are right, opera on pc is capable of displaying wap sites. But at times it fails to encode them, and some fields go missing or the source code of the page is displayed.

It looks like this.
I have never had problems like you're saying.

it happens at times when you access wml sites with php scripting, Btw emulators too have their own use if you don't happen to use opera..

Posted by aatuif
Opera works perfect...

Posted by shivam007
Maybe you haven't encountered any site which could give a problem. Try accessing mobile tagtag.com sites

Posted by aatuif
mobile specific sites should all shift to xhtml from wml, since almost all new phones are xhtml compatible...

Posted by shivam007
Yes, they've developed sites now on xhtml. But what about sites which are already on wml, its cubersome and expensive for developers to redevelop them, moreover wml format enables universality, so no one's left out.

Posted by aatuif
I read somewhere on the web that there are programs which automatically covert wml to xhtml...

Posted by shivam007
Hmmm.. I never came across any such thing. Btw converting something to xhtml isn't a thing of worry, but the thing is that what is the point of converting simple wml pages to xhtml.. Just a lousy change in format, so the developers need to build the site from scratch. Imbibing graphics effects.

Posted by aatuif
Well, afaik, wml will pave way for xhtml...
