Intel: 1.4pc
microsoft: 2.9pc
motorola: 11.0pc

...have a lot of smart-phone-relevant content...and the same publishing houses also do pda-magazines etc.... There's obviusly a bit of crossover interest!

imo this result was to count with, after a poll in a pc magazine. symbians and windows devices are the hits in their circles

you're right - although you might be surprised how much attention se non-smart phones get (good pr, I guess)...

yeah, but bobafett,
how representative would a similar survey here be - where the members are interested in phones way above average...and especially interested in se-phones?
I'm just amazed that they trust apple as much as moto (not that I like motorola)... though I guess that gives you a point?!

Posted by maggflodd
Yeah,
here it'd be SE 66.6pc, pokia 33.3pc and others 50pc - which would excede 100pc and why not

If it's just POSSIBLE (as gadget geeks' Chrstmas Wish) . . . I want Nokia and 's technology to be PUT in just ONE fone

but you know what a "great" film "Alien vs Predator" was... Fans had dreamt of that pairing for ages, remember ?!

@Bart/Boba
if ericsson made a phone again i would buy it without even thinking twice

...of course

Back to topic...

I guess the main majority will say full. lol

@mag - Yeah I've watched that mate . . . in the very distant future . . . there will only be 2-3 mobile phone brands that will compete in the market, as this MERGING thing will EAT up most of the consumer-products sold out in the market (perhaps in just everything I guess) . . . even in films, nemesis do UNITE in just one film I will not be surprised if these stars will appear in just one movie: Sly, Arnie, Van Damme and Saddam !

Posted by maggflodd
@jojo,
"2 or 3 manufacturers" - you optimist it'll be like nazi germany where every household got the same radio to listen to the same propaganda speeches... You'll get the "Blair-phone-pod" with a peachypink-screen filter... While pokia's resistance fighters will... Oops I was trailing off there for a second...my psychic powers took over!

Posted by *Jojo*
@mag - Yes, that is very feasible in the future . . . as LIFE will become harder - worldwide . . . have you heard of the saying . . . BACK TO THE BASICs I will not be surprised at all, if one day . . . we will be usin' (again) those two tin cans at both ends with a STRING in between as the main source of communication . . . morse-code and all . . . you'll never know.

Posted by maggflodd
Yeah, and people will argue by telegraph which tin sounds better, baked beans or hot dogs...
But back to the topic before we get deleted: i wonder what the result of the poll would've been in a car magazine: let mercedes build my next phone? Rover?

Posted by umerhayat
I trust only SE to make my phone and no one else,why people think apple is so great in making phone it has sealeard nothing yet in phone market.let their phone come in market and then we will see people crying after buying it

obviously those who thinks apple would be great phone makers are being a tad optimistic, with no concrete reasoning at all? it's just branding as far as i'm concerned, and the survey itself is too vague to be taken as a fact. i think apple are going to outsource the iphone production anyway, like o2 and whoever.

and i would always trust motorola for build quality, and sony ericsson for 'internals'.

Posted by maggflodd
Yeah, bodum... Even I would currently rather trust motorola than apple...and IF the iPhone works well, I'd see who ACTUALLY builds it... brand-loyalty is madness...it's like politicians who start wars and then many voters argue, only that politician can stop the wars (I must have dreamt up this example - could never really )

Posted by umerhayat
Its a first phone by apple . They have not made any mobile before . Although i phone looks good on papers . But trusting so much on a company which is going to launch its first phone is just madness

Thought I revive this: So if you could pick any of the companies listed in the poll to build your next phone accordiong TO YOUR SPECS/WISHES ETC... - who would you pick!????
