How do I get a .vcf file, which is a backup of my Sony Ericsson Phone Book, transferred to a N95?

Posted by Del
Use the nokia pc suite to drag them straight over from your pc into your N95.

Thats what I did and it worked like a charm

@ Del

Can you go into more detail? I have one .vcf which should contain my phone book. However when I drag it across I jsut get the fisrt contact on the phone and nothing else??

Can anyone else help? I have one .vcf file which I backed up from a Sony Erisson K800. This phone was stolen and I am trying to import this file to a Nokia N95. Does anyone know how to do this?

I was a Sony Ericsson user since my T68! But now I have gone to the dark side! Maybe I return later this year? But my first impressions are good with the new N95!

Your solution is called Microsoft Outlook and Nokia PC Suite. Import contacts into the Outlook and than synchronise N95 via PC Suite...

This still does not work, Outlook still only see's the first contact.

Just a thought but did you 'mark all' when you backed up the contacts, or were you just highlighting the first contact?

Use sony ericsson software to sync your contacts to outlook. It will do them all. Then use nokia pc suite to sync back to your phone. Thats how i did it. ;-)

@ Revolution3 I can view the file in Exel, all the contacts are in the .vcf, its just thats its one big file.

@ batesie which SE software do I use?

Problem solved, just downlaoded a program called vcf splitter, worked a charm.

just the standard SE PC Suite! but the vcf splitter sounds like a good trick too!
