connectivity problems - cable and ma7920

Raa. Firstly I bought a data cable for T68i to connect to my computer. It worked fine. Then it broke so I bought another (MA-7920) and it worked and now its bust again. Got it all installed on my computer but it comes up cannot detect phone. What's going on??
