Help Unlock MDA compact 2

Hi guys can anyone point me in the direction of some software to unlock my Tmobile Mda Compact 2, and also debrand any help would be greatly apreciated thanks

T-Mobile will give you the unlock code plus the step-by-step instructions if you have an account in good standing for at least 6 months. I just unlocked a Blackberry Pearl and it was no fuss, no muss. I emailed TMo support and 2 days later I got the code in an email. Simple. Tell them that you want to travel to the U.K. and Italy and want to use a local pre-paid SIM card while on your trip.

As far as unbranding, all my experience is with DaVinci Team and SonyEricsson phones. There's a .cab file floating around that simulates generic firmware, changing the splash screens, etc, to generic looks. Plus it's free. http://www.mobilegadgetnews.com/index.php?showtopic=10309 Worth a try!

Not to sure on unbranding as although the generic version of the MDA Compact II is a HTC Charmer i am not sure if a ROM was ever released....
