Send gprspre for prepaid GPRS... gprs49 and gprs199 for postpaid plans... to 3733. It works 100%... Within 24 hours Gprs will be activated...
Still, If it shows error for few days continuously then, you have no option but to go to the BSNL's main exchange... Talking to customer care is absolute nonsense and waste of time... They just can't do anything...

You have to make a new connection in settings... Name it whatever you want... Then name it's access point as gprsnorth.cellone.in... That's it... Nothing else needed... Activate this as the default connection... Done... Check it out... Now...

YMess has some server problem. some times it connects, some time not. better use mig33, but you cant send offline messages.
On orkut, open the Gmail in operamini, setting-> accounts-> google account setting-> my services-> ORKUT
but you will hav the problem in scraping in operamini

Im Avik, i am using Sony Ericsson w700i with Cellone (prepaid)
I have activated portal & it's working fine
I have also activated full gprs (ie GPRS E) and it's also working fine but it costs around 2p/kb like that.
I can also use the net (free of cost offcourse) from my Laptop using portal via bluetooth
I just want to ask u the thing, can i also use the full gprs on my mobile (ie Free of cost)? I mean as i saw my friend is doing in Nokia6600, can it be done in Sony Ericsson also?
(because unlike Nokia, i can't minimize the default browser and run Opera but i here can minimise Opera and then change the profile & can run main browser)
If it is possible, then how? Cause don't know why, even with full gprs also im not able to run Opera Mini 3. It tells no connection or error in connection.

if you cant do wat ur frnd does on 6600, then u cant access fre gprs...
and opera mini works fine with full gprs... you have to activate the full gprs act. in java apps...

Have you activated gprs, if yes then ok... otherwise, just send sms 'gprspre' to 3733...
.
just type gprsnorth.cellone.in as access point (apn)... if you're from north, otherwise change north accordingly to your region... keep all else blank/automatic...

no i have to choose between hutch and bsnl for casual wap usage. for hutch charges are like 10p/kb. similarly what are charges for bsnl prepaid gprs? actually i am asking whether u can surf any site other than bsnl or not?

does hutch gprs 10kb/10 paisa plan requires a proxy? or u just need apn to make it work? i can use opera mini on my nokia 3220/series v2/v3 phones only with proxyless connection.
