I sent a complaint to Cadburys (Bourneville, Birmingham UK)
about there "Mini Eggs" basically I wasn't to happy that the packets seemed to have less contents in them this year I don't know if anyone else in the UK has noticed but they feel like they have taken a few back!
Anyways after I made the complaint via Email last friday I get my mail this morning which is a letter from cadburys apoligizing and they have given me £2 Voucher to redeem against some more
Has anyone else done this?
what has happened did you gain anything?

I remember complaining to a Smiths about their Square Crisp years ago that their crisp were tough and rubbery, so I sent off the empty packet and I received the same - a voucher for some more crisp and an apology.
I reckon you could do that with almost any food maker and get a voucher of some sort

I would love a year's supply of Cadbury's Roses. Now that would be worth writing a strongly worded letter for.
Though you might have to complain again to receive an extra supply of toothbrushes and toothpaste too....

LOL I will wait till next Easter they might sort out the shortage now
I'd love a big supply of Ritter Sport and Milka I don't know how id go about complaining to the makers since there in Germany hehe..
maybe I should complain that they should stock more of them in UK shops as there hard to find sometimes

I too have complained many a times... On most occasions it was sorted out in a short time... Mostly because i use highly provocative but rational language in my apps... Sometimes it stretched longer, but i didn't budge from my stand, which, of course was based on solid grounds...
Well, I'll never compromise on my rights as a consumer and as a subscriber, no matter what it takes...
Hard earned money isn't just, to get pissed off... Well that's my POV...

My best complaint was to Vodafone a few weeks back. I called their customer services complaining about the transmitters in my area were down (one shut down, the other on low power for maintenance) and after about 5 mins of telling them I can't make/receive calls and texts they gave me £5 of free air-time.
Posted by masseur
@miss uk, apparantly if you go to asda you can get two of that mini egg packs for £1, you can also get 6 creme eggs for £1
Posted by voda_jon
best one i had was with a bag of foxes glacier fruits lol...
opened the big bag to find a lot of little bags with individual sweets in it but low and behold 2 of the sweet bags had NO sweets in them so i sent them both back to fox with a comment along the lines of i was shocked an appalled this could happen and it ruined my enjoyment of the sweets which i do love!
Received a huge box that contained bout 5 bags of the sweets, biscuits, glacier mints an apology, an explanation and a voucher for £10!!!
Was made up... till i made maself ill that is!

you shoulda sent them back both on separate ocasions John, that way you mightve got double the rewards!
Under different aliases of course.

I don't really complain unless i really have too, typically British lol. Working in retail makes me this way i think.
Some of the crap you get in work because people complain about the most insane things ever.
But i do agree on the mini eggs they barely fill the big half full, shame on you caburys.
Congrats!

got charged £12 for a twirl in asda.. refunded the £12 and gave me a £2 gift voutcher.

Last year I called my lawyer a "lazy, chickenshit bitch" - he wasn't happy, but at least he didn't bill me for listening! I regularily complain to vodafone here in Ireland - and funny: everytime you get to talk to the supervisor they give you 10-20 euro bonus credit for "your trouble"...

I complain all the time, Ive had all my upgrades for phones for free by complaining about other tariffs and how much i used to spend on my phone.
Ive had my broadband upgraded to 10mb and a free V+ box and sports plus movies at a massive cut price, Because Virgin media dropped sky 1 and sky sports news. I emailed dominos the other week because it took an hour to phone in an order and got free pizza vouchers through the post.
if your paying for somthing you should be happy with it! If not complain!

and i don't want to upset anyone here but.. you go to a restaurant in Paris you get a proper french waiter, you go to a restaurant in Spain, you get a proper Spanish waiter or you go to a restuarant in Italy, you get served by an proper Italian waiter, yet, you go to a restuarant in England and you get served by 15 year old spotty college kid who would rather be anywhere but working in a restaurant......

KFC are always ripping my mate off a few weeks agao he asked for double chips and they only give him one which was completely pathetic of them.
after I tell him what ive done with cadburys im sure he's going to make a complaint against them too it's not happened once but twice I think they should sort there drive thru thing out
Laura, why not make a complaint to girl we pay 75p for those eggs and they should put more of the things in the bags
Masseur, ASDA is pretty far I don't think I can wait till the weekend to get some more mini Eggs if my mate decides to go visit that shop anyways
Don't really like Cadburys creme eggs tbh neither!
Fatreg, thats really true I dunno what it is with this country and spotty kids serving they do have some atitude especially the fast food places
Why is it KFC here is average but when you go to berlin and eat it it's blooming finger better good
Fairplay to all those people with the phones btw
them providers do tend to rip alot of us off, GPRS suxx with 02 don't know how many times ive said that on this forum now

I have complained about a packet of nik naks ages ago. They were supposed to be nice and spicy flavour, and they were just plain. Seems like my packet didn't go thought the flavour section within the factory. They were very nice and sent me £2 to spend on more crisps, mmmmmmm.

I complained about Clinique mens products!!
I use it but it was to expensive and not really worth it, normal soap did the same thing.
So I go to the lady and tell her that I taught Clinique was French and I see its american, I told her thats why I didnt want to use it.
Then she said she'll give it to me for free!! 3 New bottles and a gift bag thingy with a whole lotta stuff arounf R600 (60 pounds)!!
Im gonna try it again
Posted by fatreg
they are indeed a yankee doodle company..
owned by Estee Lauder.

I wouldn't mind, they actually tasted okay with no flavour, and I told them this. So if you see plain nik naks in the future, it could be down to me.

I complained once in a posh restaurant that my stake tartare was not well done, how embarrasing that turned out to be!.
Posted by rule_breaker
not exactly a complain but I've threatened AOL on many occasions to leave them and they always ended up giving a month free!
Right now I'm paying £10 p/m when I should be paying £15.99
Posted by lamont
@msmsm - have you seen the Mr Bean sketch about that? He orders it, then wont complain about it so starts hiding little bits of it all over the place including puttin some in a womens bag on the table next to him. (like in his new movie). Pretty funny
Anyway i just drafted a fake complaint to Cadbury about an empty creme egg, i hope i get some free creme eggs! i love them!
Posted by msmmsm
@lamont, not a Mr Bean fan, but sounds quite a funny sketch

I even bought a extra packet of the things for 85p
I have to draft out a good complaint to Ritter Sport (Germany) thing is will they go for the
"Its so unfair that not many of the different bars exist in the UK lmao"
Btw good luck with your Creme Egg I rec you will get a voucher no problem I didn't think they even read my complaint correctley tbh cos I complained about Mini eggs right and they have got it on the letter I complained about Mini Creme eggs

I reckon they gave you the voucher because you made them laugh so hard. Congrats on the voucher.
I might write one complaining that my mini-eggs hatched into mini-chicks.
