Hi Peeps,
Need some help, basically I use hotmail a lot and have MSN messenger alerting when I get new messages.
Basically when I get a new message it pops up to say '1 new message' etc.
When I click on this I want hotmail to open in MOZILA FIREFOX not Windows Explorer.
How can I do this?
All help appreciated.

Have you tried setting firefox as your default browser under tools>options on the firefox window?

I dont think it works, I tried that a while ago and it seems that MSN messenger just likes MS IE

Well since MSN is a Microsoft creation there might be a chain link in there of some kind...

click start, set program access and defaults, choose the non microsoft config/custom.

nitroxor, where is that program acces thingy?

Should be on the Start Menu, I can't check it now but I'm on the laptop (vista) so I can't.

Well, i guess there's no solution to this problem..

this will work;
make a shortcut to your firefox.exe
rename te firefox shortcut to the iexplore.exe and you're done
every time windows/msn/outlook launches a browser, it will be ff
//edit
btw; use Miranda-IM as a replacement to MSN ... trust me you'll like it a lot

this dosn't work for me, after about 10 seconds windows replaces the firefox.exe with a new iexplore.exe.
Some sort of crash detection implementation it seems.

i don't have firefox or other browser to test but has anyone tried ARIEN617 suggestion?
it is on the start menu-->all programs-->set programs acces and defaults, i never used it before but it helped me change my default media player to winamp. If i double clicked a music or video file in my computer it opened it in winamp, but if i was oppening a music or video file from the web it was using windows media player, now that i change the settings in that menu it always uses winamp. problem solved.

Nope, that just makes IE links disappear. Messenger still launches IE.
