I had a mini for my first car. Learned and passed my test in it. Was a 1982 Mini City E. Loved the car and had it for nearly three years untill I was hit in the side by a drunk in an Audi 80. Flipped the mini 3 times and was a write off. Was gutted cos three weeks earlier me and my dad fully restored the car at a cost of £3000. Have got 2 photo's of my Mini before we rebuilt it. Will sort em out and post em on here when I can

I used to go through the ad's in MiniWorld magazine (is it still going ??) for parts.
Also went to Minispares in Longton, Stoke On Trent but they have closed now.

sticker was around £30-35
spraying the roof white - £200
and i got the sticker fitted professionally - £25
bit pricey in total, but i think it looks awesome!

mine cost me just under £600.... done a fair bit of welding though and bought a rear sub-frame yesterday
to be fair i'd say in total its gonna have cost me about £1000 (including the cost of the car) that includes the bits i need to finish off for the MOT.....
and fingers crossed i'll be on the mini rally from cystal palace to brighton at the end of the month

ive been told that if you do it right the 1Ltr can be almost as quick as the 1275 cooper engine and it dont coast a arm and a leg

ive been told i can respray my whole car - RED (two toned....) and white (two toned also) for about £500, although im sure it will be cheaper than that as i know him well
but wont be doing that for a while as the paint work aint bad atall to be fair
(now i've t-cut'd it )

I have two front bucket (type) seats forsale for a mini....
They have the fixings to go stright into a old mini (as they have been in mine).....
Obviously this is open to anyone.... i believe postage to be 'around' the £20 mark although i will get a quote from a couriers if and when someones interested... also i will post pics when i pull my finger out

really? mate ive had 95 out of mine - even tho the speedo only goes up to 90
