i wanna get red squares decals..... (for the roof), but i want them so that they are fading from white to red into the centre.... (so the middle is red [diagonal] with white squares fading out to the corners......) in the mini flame style.......
apprentley i may have blown the head on it.... (shes still driving at the moment tho, but for how long, no-one knows........
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!

Oooo, you don't want it blowing up on you altogether. How's it looking so far?
Posted by leeboy13

having problems with mine
one of the lights went off, so i bought and fitted a new one. within 3 days the new one is doing the same so there must be a problem with the wiring.
so at the moment im driving around with one light on at night(altough im mostly avoiding it where possible)

Saw this mini at the recent Autosport show in Birmingham they replace the engine with one from a Suzuki GSX 1300R hayabusa making them extremly quick as you can imagine
Posted by Dicky Snapples
cool!
my dad put a 7ltr mustang engine in a mini when he was younger.
it went stupidly fast, but it made it so heavy it couldnt turn
he set a record at his local race track though

You know, it's only a ballhair off it...actually that Hyabusa mini is minted, loving the old-school oute door hinges and it looks like it's been de-seamed (expensive and a pain in the arse but looks great) i would love a toy like that, gorgeous and rapid! My mini is looking worse for wear these days, this pic is a year or 2 old now, there's rust coming through the doors and one of the front spotlights has come off.

I want a mini, but will prob go for a new one, I don't have enough time and space to customize one of the older ones
Posted by leeboy13

if had hell with mine today! decided to put the wide wheels back on, all when well till the last nut on the last well. the bar steward wouldnt come off!! no matter how hard i tried!! got it off in the end, only took 3 hours !

Mines running fine
Posted by leeboy13
mint mate!!!!!
they look sweet too, look the same as mine
mines back, rad fixed..... apprentley my engine has shifted and the mounts are again gone... ive been recommended to get a clamp engine mounting thingy..... because i use mine as my only car....
how was the wiring dicky? on the spots that is? did you get it done yourself? was it easy? i still have my kit in its packed
Posted by Dicky Snapples
i got the garage to do it when they fixed my bodywork. i was really that confident that i could do it myself.
apparently it was a right pain in the arse
all i need now is halogen replacements for my main lights!
speaking to my dad he added loads of cool stuff to his, given me loads of ideas.
he had an electronic aerial, he could make it go up and down with the push of a button!

one thing i could do with thinking about it, is new door skins! few patches are appearing at the bottom of the doors
cant afford to spend any more on him for a while though. the last repair cost alot more than expected!
Posted by Dicky Snapples
hows your mini doin mate?
mines still running well

what's the give-away Dicky?
Posted by fatreg
they're called door cards in every other car!
Posted by Dicky Snapples
real john coopers only have his signature on one bonnet stripe

Oh, I didn't disbelieve you Dicky... just thought they'd have the same name as every other car!
Posted by Nanu
What about the price? does it seem reasonable?
Posted by fatreg
for an R reg mini I'd say so Nanu, if you look after it, it will never lose value! 98/R was the last ever year for a real mini wasn't it?
Posted by Dicky Snapples
depending on milage and condition, that is pretty reasonable.
my brother bought one late last year which looked almost identical (it had a large retractable sunroof) and he paid £4000.
