Just got back from the preview evening. There's quite a good selection this year (bagged myself a nice little sculpture). If you're in or around London, and haven't been, I can really recommend going. If you're even remotely interested in contemporary art, you'll enjoy it. Nothing costs more than £3,000 but I spotted a couple of nice works starting at around £250, and if you want to spend less than that you can even find some small prints, gouaches, lithographies etc. from as little as £30. Even if you don't buy anything, you can spend a couple of hours just looking at the art, at the same time having a couple of (free) glasses of wine.

By the way, there's a free shuttle service from Sloane Square to the AFF and back (leaves from outside the Sloane Square Hotel).

is this not a bit of a contradiction in terms?

chances are if it's art it's not affordable!

i think your wrong there fatreg.

art all depends on a persons taste, a piece some one may like and others may not so you can get afordable pieces of art imo

another good place to look at is www.photobox.com

They allow ppl to sell their own artwork an u can bag bargain everyday on limited edition prints etc...

I have bout 100 pics an each time one is sold i take it off the site an dont sell it again an u get a certificate of authenticity for the pic stating i wont sell it again for at least 5yrs!
