the largest size it supports. 1 of my friend told me that there is a 4 gb memory card but the w900i don't support it...anyone who can oppose?

AFAIK, 4gb. probably the 8gb also.

At the present rate that card is pegged at . . . I would rather get me another 
mobile phone and just settle for about 2 or 4 GB card
